    Good day mga friends. I am sorry if I will ask a question that has already been answered (ang haba na kasi ng thread).

    I own a 97 EL Lancer and it's getting harder and harder to find gas without E10 for my ride. What is the best (and cheapest) solution that you can recommend? I love my ride kasi....

    Mga Sir/Madam, Mga Ka-Pizza, magandang araw po!

    Bago lang po ako dito at ito ang una kong post kaya ipagpaumanhin nyo po kung bigla na lamang akong sumulpot sa thread na ito... hehehe...

    Nakita ko lang po kasi itong post regarding sa overheating kaya sinamantala ko na rin ang pagkakataon para magtanong po at humingi ng opinyon sa inyong lahat.

    Nasira po kasi yung upper part ng radiator ko last October 2011 at dinala ko sa radiator shop. Pinalitan po ng copper yung ibabaw at ni-repair gamit ang sealant (pioneer brand). Tinanggal na rin sa radiator shop yung thermostat kasi sira na. Sabi nung gumawa hindi na daw kailangan yung thermo pero hindi ako pumayag na wala kaya pinalagyan ko ng bagong thermo sa carworld. Ok naman po yung radiator kaya lang kung minsan may tumatapong tubig mula sa reservoir tank at napapansin ko ito kapag naka idle lang yung car - hindi ko po alam kung dahil ba hindi natin mapapansin kapag tumatakbo yung car or talagang kapag nakahinto lang sya saka tumatapon yung tubig.

    Tapos last week napansin ko po may mga puting mantsa sa gilid ng radiator, sa pinaka gilid nung copper, tapos nung paandarin ko yung kotse, kita ko mismo na may lumalabas na tubig (konting konti lang naman - mga maliliit na spot lang sya pero siguro nasa 5 yung suspected na butas o singaw) dun sa area na may mantsa. Meaning yung puting mantsa ay natuyong tubig at may leak na ulit yung raditor ko. Nilagyan ko din po ng sabon para i-check kung may pressure at ang resulta ay madaling nawawala yung bula ng sabon. Tapos habang chine-check ko po yung radiator nakita ko na tumapon na naman yung tubig mula sa reservoir tank.

    May tanong lang po ako mga Ka-pizza:

    1. Safe pa bang gamitin yung car lalo na kung medyo malayo yung byahe let say Bulacan to Quezon City at pabalik pa?

    2. Ok po kaya na ibalik ko ito dun sa gumawa para ma-check niya at mai-sealed ulit yung leak? OR

    3. Mas ok po ba kung bumili na lang ako ng bagong radiator sa mga auto parts gaya sa banawe?

    4. Safe po ba at pang matagalan bang solusyon yung pagkakapalit ng copper sa radiator tapos naka sealed ito ng sealant? (kasi bakit parang napakadali namang nagka leak ulit gayung bihirang bihira lang magamit yung car)

    Maraming salamat po mga ka-pizza at pasensya na po kayo kung ang haba ng post ko at ang dami kong tanong. By the way, 2000 model MX po yung pizza na tinutukoy ko. Salamat po in advance sa inyong lahat! Mabuhay!

    The Philippines Biofuels Act 2006 requires oil companies to use biofuels in all "liquid fuels for motors and engines sold in the Philippines." All gasoline sold in the country must contain at least 5 percent ethanol by February 2009, and by 2011, the mandated blend can go up to 10 percent.[1] The new law is expected to bring a number of benefits to the country:
    "Commercial production of ethanol from sugarcane, cassava or sorghum will help the island nation diversify its fuel portfolio and help to ensure its energy security. It could also generate employment, particularly in rural regions, as investors put up biofuel crop plantations and processing plants. Also, the shift to these plant-based fuels for transportation will help reduce pollution."
    Four feedstocks—sugarcane, corn, cassava and sweet sorghum—were initially identified for ethanol production, but sugarcane is expected to be the predominant source of ethanol. The Philippines is a sugar-producing country, and sugarcane is grown mainly in the islands of Negros, Luzon, Panay and Mindanao. Despite growing demand for sugar, there are still an estimated 90,750 hectares (224,000 acres) of sugarcane available that can be used for ethanol production, and high-yielding varieties of sugarcane are available.

    Dahil dyan, in the future wala ka ng mahahanap na gasoline without E10 blend. You can still use it for your ride although you will feel that your engine is weaker and consumes more fuel than before based on my experience. If you have some money left, convert your cars fuel to Auto LPG, they recommend it here. Although the conversion cost a lot, they say that the fuel mileage is same as using your gasoline, plus it burns cleaner too!

    Kaya tumatapon ang tubig mo sa reservoir tank ng radiator ay maaaring over pressured ang cooling system mo. Normally, radiator caps are fitted with springs with specified tension (normally written on the cap) which opens when the pressure inside the radiator overcomes the spring tension of the radiator cap, thus, overflowing to reservoir tank. That over pressure is maybe due to choked internal tubes of your radiator or restriction in the cooling system, it also maybe because of overheating of your engine.

    Reagarding with your additional question:

    1. I would recommend not to use your car sa ganyang kalayong byahe, sigurado ititirik ka nyan.

    2. Ok pa yan na ibalik sa manggagawa kasi kagagawa pa lang nyan sa kanila at under warranty pa yan.

    3. Mas maganda ngang bumili ka na lang ng bago kung may budget ka pa. Depending on the condition of your radiator at ok pa ang mga fins nya at wala ganong external damage, ikaw na rin ang makapag-judge kung dapat na bang paltan or repair lang.

    4. Safe naman ang practice na yan if done correctly and in my experience pangmatagalan din yan at yan ang inexpensive way not to buy a new radiator.

    Thank you so much sir sa answers! Malaking tulong po ito. Kaya lang pwede ba ulit magtanong pa, additional questions lang po.

    - Parepareho lang po ba ang radiator cap? I mean, yung luma kasi na nasa rad ko ay iba ang itsura kesa dun sa bagong ipinalit na cap. Sabi ng gumawa ng radiator, yun daw bago na cap, iyon daw yung klase na dapat sa copper. Iba po ba ang pang plastic radiator at iba pa ang pang copper?

    - Saka nagtanong ako sa Banawe, 5.5k daw ang brand new radiator, ok po kaya iyon, ganun ba tlaga ang presyuhan?

    - Baka po may taga-Bulacan dito or mayroong may alam kung saan sa bulacan may "okay" na gumagawa ng radiator pati na rin yung fan papatingnan ko kasi parang hindi nag-automatic eh.

    Di mo nabanggit kung ano model ng tsikot mo kasi you have a plastic radiator. Mostly, radiators with plastic tank can be seen on newer car models because of the aim to save weight instead of using bronze or copper tanks.

    Radiator caps as far as I know comes only in 2 different sizes, big and small. The one that we have on our lancers are the smallest ones with spring rates of 0.9 to 1.1 kg/cm2. The one that I have is a stainless steel cap rated at 1.1 kg/cm2 which is standard on most cars.

    For a brand new radiator for your pizza, I can't remember the prize but 5.5k is I think is not a bad price. You can look for other shops who got the best offer.

    Hello mga owner ng pizza,tanong ko lang po ano maganda sparkplugs,motor oil,at magkano timing belt lancer 97 gl? chain na ba ito or belt pa din? Thx sa info
