Same issue sa Montero ko. I have a 2011 Montero GLS. Last, April 27, 2014 I was in an uphill climb about to overtake a very slow bus. My speed tailing the bus was only about 30KPH. When I tried to accelerate the transmission disengaged from "D" with no display at all sa LCD panel though the engine still running. I guess it shifted to N. I tried the manual shift but still no display and not shifting to any gear. When I shifted to P only then the LCD gear display was restored then shifted to D then doon lang ako naka drive forward ulit.

For about 3 times on my way home, whenever I am on full-stop or slowly accelerating I experienced the same issue and resolved it with the same change shift from P to D.

I have it checked with Diamond Motors on April 30, 2014 and they immediately told me that it is a known issue which is the Inhibitor Switch. They said that it is no longer covered by warranty so I have it replaced for Php 5K parts and 2K labor.

This issue is actually quite dangerous particularly when it first happened to me overtaking a bus uphill. This should be covered by a recall with the parts replacement at Mitsubishi's expense.

Owner of a 2011 Montero Sport GLS. Odometer reads 21k and already past warranty. Noticed something recently where while on the road, the aircon suddenly stops blowing cold air, this will go on for a several minutes then it will go back to normal. I have no idea what triggers this, anyone else have a similar problem? Thanks

Happen to our 2009 strada, it must be the blower fan motor for the aircon, if it stops again try nyo sir pukpokin yung sa ilalim ng glove box para maalog yung motor. The prob with the blower motor is sealed cya it cannot be fixed. So your option is replacment, dito sa bicol it cost 4.5k same sa alterra ang blower motor nya kaya medyo pricey. After mapalitan i tried opening the old blower to see what went wrong, ok pa naman carbon brushes kaso yung stator if not mistaken yung solid sa gitna na uka na sya kaya wala ng kontak sa brushes at madumi na sya dahil sa mga ashes nung carbon, this causes the sudden stop nd go of the blowing of cold air

Mga ka-tsikoters need your advise before ko dalhin sa casa, just now lang biglang meron ako naririnig na parang whistling noise sa steering wheel during turns either left or right.
Anu po kaya yung problem nun? Yung level naman power steering fluid nasa max.

Yung whistling noise b mahina lng? Once na i-steer mo maririnig mo na? Kht nkastop kapa. Saka parang tamad na bmalik ung manibela pag lumiko ka kht mabilis na stuck sya some point kht may buwelo. GLX M/T rin ba unit mo? Ganyan din skin pero dati wala naman yan.

Nun magpark na ako saka ko narinig yung noise. Yup, GLX M/T 2014. Hanggang ngaun sir naririnig nyo pa din yun noise? Oo sir wala din naman ito before, mga 1 1/2 months na yun auto ko. Sa inyo sir gaano katagal na? Napa check nyo di po ba sa casa?

Update ko lang, sabi ng daddy ko guni-guni ko lng daw yung naririnig ko. Hahahah! :D pagdating kasi sa house wala naman ako nadinig. And na check din ng daddy ko yung fluid & belt ok naman at wala din sya nadinig. Mukhang sahig lang ng parking lot yun nag produce ng sound during turns. Heheh :D

anybody who has had premature suspension problems with his/her MS GLS?

Just came from the casa, need to replace upper/lower ball joints on one side. Very disappointing kase sobrang ingat na nga sa mga lubak pero heto parin, our unit has clocked a mere 50k, mostly highway driving

May mga kasabay ako na same problem din when i got there, what's worse is kailangan pa maghintay kase wala pa raw available, hopefully within the week lang.
