check your tire pressure...baka masyado malambot....
check your power steering fluid, baka wala ng laman...

third, try comparing it to other units of montero sport and see if they have the same feel of the steering....

But if yours has a different feel, you should bring it to the dealership and tell the SA about the problem...

yeah ganun na nga lang siguro.... it seems that the headlight assembly isnt fully sealed. wala rin ako napansin na parang butas para mag-evaporate yun tubig sa loob ng headlight. I just hope hindi kaagad iitim yun loob at mag-dull yun assembly since made from plastic pala ito. sana rin hindi mapundi kaagad yun Headlight bulbs since yun ang major cause ng maagang pagpundi ng bulbs... mahal din kasi ang branded bulbs, sayang naman kung di man lang tumagal ng 1 yr man lang.

I just read from one of the MSCP threads that something similar is caused by a faulty SVC, but what they are describing is I think is different from what I'm experiencing. I don't have loss of power and the "jerk" is not unpleasant (it's far from the feeling of being bumped from behind), to me that is. I even think it is the max-torque kicking in because it's always at 2k RPM. But I'm not really a car-techy guy so what do I know. Nevertheless I'm really observing everything now since it's new.
im not really sure kung factory defect... maybe more on dirty diesel?... 2 weeks na yun MS ko and napapansin ko medyo madalas na yun stallin effect. 200 + pa lang naman tinatakbo. Yun pajero ko same symptoms din... yun culrpit now eh may leak sa injection pump. kaya malakas sa crudo at parang mahina rin kagad arangkada sa una... pero the other one is a 20 yr old car while the other is a 2 week old car....

On my experience, before malambot yung steering ng MS ko. after my 1k PMS tumigas na sya, sinikipan yata nila or may adjustment na ginawa sa steering, parang dun sa steering column.

In my case, the dashboard has no indication. What did is they tuned up the Small Injection Quantity Learning (SIQL).

IMHO, it implies the learning process of the cumputer to suit your driving character. Too much slow running can train the engine to feed small gas and run slow to balance efficiency of gas consumption. So after a slow run (too much iddling and traffic), and you suddenly sprint fast, the engine computer cant respond immediately.

Comments are appreciated. Know your engine and get the best of it.
After the tune up, the sprint power has declined o yung arangkada of birit ay humina. The sudden stalling and lag was gone but the power had lost dramatically bad. I went back today with driver and they replaced the SCV. They receipt says it cost almost 6 thousand but was under warranty. After one year, aka Ito lag papalitan na. Added maintenance cost.
    Ngayon is test time.

    *boldventure,

thank you sir for the reply, although my wife will also test drive the unit before we finally get the SUV. At least this forum really gives valuable information to car buyers.

    thank you

I placed a steering wheel cover to fatten up the overall diameter and it helped a lot. After a month though I missed the feel of the leather so I removed the cover. Instantly bumigat na naman ang feel that my hands were slipping pag maniobra. I resorted to tying plastic ties around strategic portions of the steering wheel just to add friction.
