4d56 crdi overheating

I have sent in the unit to the casa this morning. We will have it top overhauled. Main suspect is the gasket. Di naman nagbabawas ang radiator kasi if ever umakyat ang temp, I quickly do something to bring it back down within that minute.

iba na andar kung putol yung balancer belt. hindi balansyado ang takbo kung ganun......

pero worth a try din siguro. kung magpoprocede ka ts sa cylinder head servicing e isabay mo na timing belt.


btw, 22 psi is i think way over the limit....baka yan pa magcreate ng panibagong leak.

e kamo 15 psi lang yung radiator cap. do not go beyond that when testing.

Just to update. Replaced the cylinder head gasket and the valve seals. A little head refacing. Before this was done, we opened the radiator cap after uminit na to operating temp ang makina, there were an ever so slight fine bubbles that can be seen but if under sunlight, then an occasional large bubble, a sign of a little leak from the gasket. So far, the unit is running for 2 weeks, no overheat.

Im experiencing temp creeping pag paakyat or at heavy load. Meron ba kayong nakakaalam ng pwede magpreassure test for leak. Feeling ko kasi baka radiator clogged.

after your first coolant replacement(48mo) ang succeeding replacement is 24mo?

What I did in my vehicles pag ganun temp issue is that I switch to a bigger radiator and add another fan. That happened to my old starex the stock rad couldn't take the uphill trips so I just got a bigger rad and added another rad fan.

I had it replaced 48months then when i experienced the creep nag change ako ulit. No leak sa radiator, cap at water pump replaced. No milky oil nor oil coolant sa radiator. Possible culprit ko nalang the radiator or a blown head gasket.

hi again.

The 2010 montero is now at 110k mileage and no issues with overheating. Ang problema ko ngayon a 2015 gls v a/t montero at 45k mileage, NOW undergoing the same issues! Nasa Mitsu casa for overhauling of the head gasket. This one never experienced a non functioning aux fan, no drop in coolant, casa maintained EXCEPT at 45k which i sent to an outside casa for change oil and filter change. This unit mas klaro yung bubbles sa radiator.

Maselan ba ang 4d56 crdi engine?
