Hi guys. New owner po ng Montero GLS, acquired last January. Tanong lang po, nagvivibrate po kasi yung steering wheel when braking especially when cruising at more than 60 km/h. Anyone who had similar experience? Mileage is 1000+ kms palang.

Also, nakaschedule ako 1000kms PMS at Mitsubishi Balintawak. Ano-ano po ung mga puedeng tanggalin na optionals?

Usually warped yung brake rotors kapag ganyan. You also need to check the brake pads it might be causing unusual wear on the rotors kaya nagwarp. Pero brand new diba? Isabay mo na sa PMS tutal covered yan ng warranty. They might offer to replace or resurface the rotors.

Or it is also possible that the pad-rotor interface is not fully bedded in pa

newbie here, just sharing we received yesterday our 2018 GLS Premium 2WD A/T Sedona Red from Carworld Subic. Got it at php 1,620,000 (30% cash-out + 70% bank loan).
Got the loan from BDO. 3 years to pay, 24k chattel, 40k insurance.
Mitsu removed the GLS Premium emblem in their 2018 models. Papainstall sana kami ng:

1. Front Camera
2. Blind Spot Warning
3. Spoiler with Brake Light

Sabi ng SA namin sa labas na daw kasi mahal sa Casa. Inalala ko baka mavoid warranty kung nagpainstall sa labas.

Do you know any shop in Bataan/Zambales/Pampanga area who can supply and install the above?

Or maybe, just maybe, hindi balanced ang tires? Pacheck mo nalang din sir yung wheel balancing.

Ok lang ba mineral oil lang muna sa 1k PMS? Then mineral ulet sa 5k, tapos sa 10k na lang ako mag fully synthetic? Mas mura kasi sya kesa fully syn sa 1k then top up sa 5k.

Actually sa akin Mineral Oil ako simula first change oil. Since sa Mitsubishi required na bumalik every 5k. Much better na change oil and filter lagi since napansin ko rin na yun Montero mabilis umitim yun oil.
Kaya kung every 10k lang kahit fully synthetic sobrang dumi na ng oil nun.

Then advise ko lang bago nyo ipasok for 1k PMS tingnan oil filter at engine oil. Kasi yun sa akin after change oil ng 1k PMS napansin ko hndi nabago yun kulay ng oil at yun oil filter mukhang marumi pa rin labas.
So i assumed hndi sila nag change oil at change ng filter, nagbayad ako as per invoice nila pra sa wala. Napansin ko rin kasi nakauwi na ako. Sinabihan ko rin yun casa sa AMCAR Sta Rosa pero cyempre sasabihin nila pinalitan nila. Wla naman CCTV to prove my claim, kaya inayaan ko nln.

Pag casa talaga ngaun mas nag aalangan ako kaysa pag pinapagawa ko sa labas. Kaya every PMS ko change oil lang tlga at tinatangal uneccessary additives (na hndi mo alam kung nilalagay tlga), tapos yun iba sa labas ko na pinapagawa. pra lang may record until the warranty ends.

Guys question lang.
This morning.when I tried to start my 2018 montero by putting my foot sa brake peddal, it was so stiff that it doesn't seem being depressed. Followed by pressing the start/stop button and only the accessories turned on. Tried many times to no avail.

Ano kaya problem?

Currently at 5,800km since we bought it last week of July2018. Average Frequency of vehicle usage: 2-3x a week at an average of 60-100km/use.

Just press harder and it will work. Both happens occasionally for my Montero and Mirage

sakop pa kaya ng warranty yung wheel alignment? after my 10k pms may kabig sa right. but before PMS wala naman kabig.

Usually better to have the alignment and rotation done outside. Pag casa kasi hndi na mapagkakatiwalaan at hndi mo nakikita at nakakausap mechanic.

Mga SA scripted na sinasabi, madalas wlang alam. Sinasabi lang nila pero hndi naman tlga ginagawa. So nagbabayad ka ng mahal na labor for nothing.

Hi, anyone experienced a random chirp sound (only a single chirp) in the engine. Sometimes it happens during at the first rev or when it is up / down shifting. But you can not really replicate the sound consistently, it is very random.

I am thinking is it the turbo noise chirp, is this normal? maybe the drive (accesory) belt. I am not sure if it was present when it was new. I just started to notice it maybe after a year.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE! MUST READ!

Sinong mag-aakala na ang pagpunta mo sa SM at pagdaan ng iyong sasakyan sa security check ay mag cacause ng aksidenteng hindi mo inaasahan.

Eto na ang kwento, Nakarating na ng SM Marilao at dadaan na ang Montero GLS 2016 Model na aking dina-drive sa security check ng my biglang sumabog na akala moy putok ng baril, nabigla kami ng makita namin yung guard na tumatakbo sa gilid at lumuhod dahil akala nya my bumaril sa mata nya. Dali dali din naglabasan ang iba pang guard para icheck yung situation dahil malakas nga yung sabog, talsik nga yung SG cap ni manong guard sa lakas ng sabog.Ayaw ako pababain ng tito ko nung una dahil akala nga namin gun shot pero hindi pala.

Alam nyo ba ang cause? Ang pagsabog sa mata ng security guard ng GAS SPRING ASSIST/STRUT DAMPER na hindi natin iniisip na delikado pala(first time yata nangyari kasi pati doctors sa hospital ngayon lang naencounter ng ganon case).Hindi pa nabubuksan masyado nung guard yung likod, sumabog na at tumalsik ung oil at fragments sa mata nya.

Syempre, kahit papano naman RN ako, hindi ko pababayaan si guard so nakipagcoordinate ako sa SM Customer Care Services, clinic at sa agency nila na ako na magdadala sa hospital para macheck si manong guard ng expert. At yun nga, my mga maliliit na metal sa mata nya sanhi ng pagsabog/malfunction ng GAS SPRING ASSIST. Buti nakuha yung mga fragments sa flushing at needling procedure na ginawa ng Doctor. Need din mag rest ni manong guard at sabi sakin nung security in-charge, binigyan daw si manong guard ng SM at ng agency ng 7 days paid leave to rest and recover.

Ang tatak nga pala ng GAS SPRING ASSIST ay SHOWA so please check yours.

To Policemen and armed security guards, sana maging aware din po kayo na my gantong incident na parang putok ng baril kaya maging mapanuri muna mabuti.

Hindi ko na sana ipopost to until ill get a response from Mitsubishi pero elders and Doctors told me to post what happened so everybody will be aware of.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines, hoping that you can conduct an investigation and make a recall kasi hindi biro ang mabulag at maaksidente dahil sa kakulangan ng safety features nito.

PS. FYI. Hindi lang sa Montero my ganitong GAS SPRING ASSIST, other brand of vehicles ay gumagamit din ng kaparehas na brand ng GSA.

Hindi din po bulok yung strut, inside part po yan ng strut, my neck cover pa po yan na break into pieces, other side looks new.

UPDATE:

Went to Mitsubishi casa kanina para ishare ang information na nangyari sa guard at sa pagsabog ng GSA, they recalled 2016 model last February 2017 about sa GSA but unfortunately hindi na CASA maintained yung montero. The problem escalated already to higher office and hoping that the guard will get what he needs to get.

Good day po mga boss, may alam po ba kayo mabibilhan nang tpms ng montero 2018, wala kasi siya. Bukod sa casa at winterpine. Hinahanap ko kasi yung avt tpms di ko makita. Or any equivalent na tpms will work on head unit po except po don sa mga external na disaksak. I want to look as stock as possible po kasi sana.
