it can get past the loose metal parts and into the combustion chamber, where it gets burned. "oil-burning." your exhaust gases sometimes gets dark because of this.

Baka naman naka warm up na engine nun kinunan mo yan kaya mababa gauge nya? And bat ang itim yung new innova ko 8k sa odo parang bago parin oil.

Di nga normal yan. Pero pag tinanong mo mga monty boys dito lagi nila sagot normal yan hehe. Pa check mo na lang casa sir.

Factory fill ba yan? Baka mawala lang yan pag napalitan na yung oil ng iba. Dati sa NV350 nagbabawas din ng langis yung factory fill. After 1st change oil, no more oil consumption.

For now just add oil until the level gets to the lower part of the upper dot.

pero sir barnd new vehicle na ganun kadami nabawas na oil? ganun kababa oil s dip stick on cold engine??

llcooljed, during sa pag check mo ng oil level flat ba yung road surface? nakadiin sagad ba yung dipstick ?
Yung last changed oil mo ba ay 1000km at nag change ka ng oil filter. Mineral ba or sythetic oil yung nilagay? kasi 8K km na ngayon. If no leak,something wrong sa piston ring or valve seal for a newly engine .
Bring it sa Casa immeditely to baka masira pa ibang engine parts.

Regarding sa issue ng Excessive Oil Consumption dapat iraise na sa MMPC yan dahil marami na user ang nakakaexperience which is hindi normal. Meron kmi "Diesel" 300k mileage na sasakyan kahit kailan hindi nagbawas ng oil. Kung sinabi ng Mekaniko nyo na normal lang sa Diesel ang Excessive na oil consumption humanap kna ng ibang mekaniko. nakaka worry ngayon fully paid na at waiting for unit nalang ako baka maexperience ko din ung excessive oil consumption.

Normal oil comsuption... max of 2% for every 5k kms. In extreme driving condition...

i'm getting ready to buy an suv and montero is on my short list. lots of features and great discount compared to the others. one thing i forgot to ask the SA about the gls premium's reverse camera is if it has an aerial view? when you backup and park, will the monitor show a top view also so you could see the cars on each sides?

update re this; i went to mitsu earlier for my 10k PMS (i advanced it na, instead sa saturday pa dinala ko na agad. Bothered ako sa mga comments nyo eh. )
normal change oil lang gnwa nila, tapos as per my SA, normal daw na nagbabawas ng oil.
Re the very low level of the oil, as long as di daw umiilaw yung indicator ko, good to go daw yun (wild amputa).

Also, i asked for the excess oil para i can top up on my own, wala daw excess yun. sakto lang daw yung oil.
hoping it will be normalized soon. Hassle eh.

PS re: DRL issue naman (i got busted DRL lamps), pinalitan lang yung bulbs, pag GLS premium and GT madugo daw kasi palit buong headlight.

Normal pero minimal lang as in 2% lang or more or less 30ml per 5000 kms.. w/c one cant hardly notice...

Agree. Used to have 2004city1.5G, almost 5 yrs ko gmit un bago ako mag monty. Sa city ko, wala ako prob. Umaabot ako 8months di nababawasan ng oil. Even water never ako nag dagdag dun.
