Good day guys!

Im planning to purchase a Mitsubishi Montero Sport GLS-V 4x2 A/T in the coming month or early next year and i have a couple of questions regarding the model that im about to purchase:

1) Is it equipped with a LSD or Hybrid LSD?
2) I have looked into the early pages of this thread and noticed that there are quite a number of members that are suggesting that the Montero should undergo "EGR blanking" in order to prevent black smoke from the exhaust pipe specially when the engine is raced to higher RPM's
3) Is there a new model coming for 2015? my SA told me that there is no such update for the montero this coming 2015, but instead, the Strada would be getting a new body under a new platform

hoping that you could shed light on this before i make this purchase,

Meron po bang nabibiling honeycomb grill para sa 2014 model? Kating kati na ako palitan yung existing grill. Nasisilawan ako sa chrome nya :D. I guess I'm not much of a chrome guy. Di naman maganda kung papapinturahan lang. Thanks.

Finally i decided to get Montero GLSV AT 4/2
Di ko matiis yung mga features at interior nya e.

isang maliking reason ko pala ay dahil when i purchase my Vios back in 2010 i just get the lower end since my main purpose that time ay para lang meron akong pang everyday drive, di ko talaga non kinonsider yung mga features at ganda ng interior. Good thing it really serves its purpose naman wala namng pag sisisi, pero this time since 2nd car na namin to i want something like a reward so i decided to go for the glsV isang reason din dahil for sure after ko bilhin un wala na akong panahon para bumili at mag upgrade. since upgraded na sya. contented na ako dun.

Im just waiting for the release 3rd or 4th week of oct.

Before i end,, pwede ba ninyo ako matulungan anu mga need ko e check bago ko ilabas yung Montero sa CASA?

Sir question lang po sa plasti dip. Kelangan pa ba lihain yung chrome part sa grill or punas lang ng alchohol? any other procedure para hindi masira once magbalik loob ka sa chrome ?

Congratulations sir Jason!

this is what we do when we get new cars from the casa,
1) Check if there are any dents / scratches that can be found in the body. Consider checking the inside too, lalo na yung scuff area. Its a good way of checking kung naging demo unit ung sasakyan pag may mga visible scratches in that area. (a little OCD, we also check the tint kung walang scratches or sablay ang cut)

2) Another thing to check is / are the accessories that you had negotiated at the time of purchase. considering that the car sells like hotcakes, the dealer or SA might have overlooked some of the items na napag usapan.

3) Check every instruments if its working, lights, gauges radio, satnav, etc..

4) Lastly, before driving off from the dealership, we check the tire pressure.. for a number of times over inflated ung mga goma ng mga nakuha namin na cars pag labas ng casa. Recommended tire pressure can be found on the drivers side door or sa Pillar B.

Some may say that its a bit "OCD" na since the car undergoes quality assurance before it is released to the customer, but a little bit of OCD doesnt hurt right?

Hindi na sir linisin mo lang mabuti,yung chrome sa harap natatanggal yun..tsaka yun nga sa youtube madami instruction dun,sa blade ka bumili buy 3 take 4,pati sa mags ko yun ginamit ko pansamantala..hehe

No you don’t need to sand the chromes pag plastidip ginamit mo. Just clean the surface. FYI. Plastidip or any rubberized paint ay pang short term application lang yan. Yan din ginawa ko before sa ride ko. Ok lang yan pang car show or any short term purpose since after ayaw mo na pwede mo nang tanggalin. Ang problema kasi nang mga rubberized paint is pag tinamaan or na gasgas any part nang paint is dun mg uumpisa ang peel off and dina rin maganda tingnan pag i-paint over mo ulit. So tatangalin mo na lang lahat and repaint ka nanaman uli. Well that’s ok if you have the time and money to do it all over again every time somebody or something hits/scratches the painted part. But its your call.

as long as walang leakage yung condenser lines, you're still good to go. Yung fins nyan may purpose din na parang heatsink. ang lakas naman ng pressure ng washer na ginamit. May pressure washer ako ( B&D) pero di naman affected ng pressure yung fins, although di ko masyadong tinututok yung spray ng gun sa fmic and condenser.

sensya na boss sa tanong. is it possible na ma-damaged yun intercooler with the pressure of power sprayer, di kaya po tama yan ng mga bato. sorry boss for the ignorance.

pag ssprayan nya yun part na yan ginagawa nyang sabog yung buga ng water kaya hindi matulis yun water hindi nakakaganyan ng intercooler...

sir nath is correct, for as long as there is no leakage on your a/c system, its still okay.
