You might end up losing your plate or damaging it using the double sided tape which worns out over time. If you don't have a drill, use a rounded file to increase the diameter of the plate holes. A 2mm-3mm adjustment will suffice. Just a friendly suggestion. I was wondering, if both plates doesn't have any misalignment hole issues on the front of a vehicle, bakit sa likod misaligned? Hence, yung butas sa likod ng vehicle ang may issue.

good day fellow tsikoteers! anong engine oil ba ang mas ok sa ride natin? mine is a 2012 gls-v. nag-search at nagbasa na ako ng nagbasa. hanggang ngayon nalilito pa rin ako hehe. sa ngayon kasi naka turbo XP ako and nearing 15k na. so plan ko mag-top up muna then pagdating ng 20k gusto ko sana magpalit ng oil. ano ba mas ok? narinig ko na na yung TOP 1 SDO, Petron Rev-X all terrain at Caltex Delo 400. Alin ang ok sa tatlo at pwedeng every 10k ang palit? also, anong difference ng multigrade sa semi-synthetic? and pwede ba OEM filter gamitin ko for the three?

the new plate with U series, the graphics (monument of Rizal, letter and numbers and "matatag na republika") are somewhat darker comparing to the T series which are lighter. My monty's plate is T series while my wifey's Vios is U series.

Newbie here in tsikot, but been following this and the detailing thread for some time already and finally me oras to post. Unit is GLS-V 2012 brown nearing 14k km, very minimal upgrades (window visors, nano-tech tint, plate covers, packypoda rubber mats) that just turned 1yr kahapon and so far very happy with my first diesel ride including FC, nawala pagka heavy footed ko palagi coming from a Revo 2.0 4spd matic . Would like to get some advice on the ff, and sorry very long post:

> Tire related - now set *32psi F/34psi R, daily-driven, several trips up north na and happy with the stocks, little worry over rough/broken asphalt na nagkalat parin sa macarthur esp. when overtaking trucks and buses. so far have not seen any major differences or abnormal tire wear and not any thing observable on handling/ride but just curious:
1. Experience if you have already replaced stock tires with similar stock specs (e.g. no rim/tire chages) just due to normal use/wear and tear, and if so typical mileage when this became necessary. Mine is shod with the Yokohama Geolandars. Just anticipating kasi how much and when a 4 or 5 tire replacement would be due. Ang price yata is php10k isa so easily a 50k headache kelangan pag-ipunan.
2. Any recommended/proven brand and model besides Yoko / Bridgestone, Tread wear rating kasi ng Yokohama is not so high. Any idea of range each, and recommended tire shops that carry these (am located in Laguna Sta Rosa).
3. From experience with these large tires, which is better to prolong wear - higher pressure or just follow the sticker recommendation?
4. For those who use higher pressure, meron ba kayong pansin/experience with earlier failures/replacement of suspension parts? Just weighing possible consequences of saving on tire costs with higher cost of suspension parts. I also try to avoid steering with no forward-backward motion, feeling ko pivoting the tires that way is like sanding the front tires on the contact patch.
5. From experience, is more frequent tire rotation helping prolong wear? Sa 10k PMS kasi di na ginawa yung tire rotation, sabi sa 20k nalang raw, but I could DIY more frequently rin if there is any advantage.
6. (Maybe OT) Mahirap maglinis ng mga tagong side ng tires kahit maluwang wheel wells, any advice if not being able to clean this as thoroughly as the outside could cause premature tire wear? Any advice for cleaning these areas quickly short of having to jack up the car, this also is the case of the inner side of the mags, not so easy to clean esp. with the front calipers so close to the wheels. I've read that the brake dust is very corrosive in the detailing forums.
7. (Also baka mejo OT) I use the tire black na ginamit rin sa casa (Amcar) Rain-X, any bad experience with this? Di ko sure kasi if this is silicone based and i've read that this might make the rubber brittle in the long run in the detailing thread.

1. Bukod sa casa, any good store to mix paint for the brown metallic touch-up? Sa 5k PMS ko kasi meron nagkataon na namix raw sila and napatuldok ko some minor stone chips sa door molding (not so professional but at least protects from exposing the plastic), but lately have seen more stone chips and scratches on the hood and front bumpers. Would like to DIY kasi.
2. Any idea kung acrylic or urethane base ang paint natin? Any idea if a urethane based wax is ok?
3. Tried to search thru the detailing threads, but never seemed to find mention of a clear coat application in case of repairing minor scratches, always parang sealer or wax ang inaaply after filling in and polishing the base color paint. Is the clearcoat really sacrificed and removed once you try to repair minor scratches and chips?
4. Can a clear coat repair be done instead for scratches that look like they don't expose the base coat, vs using the fine liha, compund, polish, etc method?
5. Some of the scratches were made by the car keys, matalas edges - pwede ba ito lihain to make it less lkely to scratch with no effect to function?
6. Black stepboard frame namumuti, any idea how to restore it?
7. Rubber seal along roof gutter, any tips how to make sure no large debris are trapped under? Parking ko at work kasi under trees so twigs, leaves, flowers regularly fall in.
8. Any idea if the plastic grilles at the bottom of the windshield need to be removed from time to time to clean under for the same debris as above? Or alternative way to clean if not removing them? Di ko sure if heavier debris are building up somewhere in the body that would later lead to premature rusting.

Possible upgrades (mga pang safety lang muna):
1. Horns - Recommended horn brand and model that can replace the stocks with no need for extra relays, e.g. plug and play in existing mounting location so I can DIY, meron bang wattage ito to say no need for extra relays?. Yung stock kasi di pansin lalo na ng mga tricycles (drivers exposed to constant high noise levels siguro, o mahina lang talaga yung sound).
2. Rear view camera- meron naba nakapag install ng merong distance markers (kahit static overlay lang sa video)? Pwede kaya i-DIY na markers are just stickers on the lens? Regarding sa tagal ng HU natin bago mag display ng live video, any time delay figures? Yung parking ko kasi sa work, after the heater on light is off, backing up kagad ako kahit HU initial screen dipa nadidisplay yung MID screen (di ko trip naka idle engine just for warm up, kahit sa umaga, kita rin effect sa FC and I trust the indicator). Do you need to wait for this initial screen to switch to the MID display before the rear view image appears?
3. TPMS - sa mga merong ganitong system, how is the experience in terms of longevity of the pressure sensor batteries? Any bad issues when having flat tires fixed by non-casa tire repair shops? Halimbawa nasa probinsiya and minalas at naflat ang 1 tire, you use the spare also with the sensor, but would like to have the flat tire repaired as soon as possible pero wala casa malapit, have you been able to have some unknown tire shop (emergency e) repair it with little risk of damage or you just go without a ready spare tire? Considering the tire costs, the TPMS system cost seems a good investment but would like to ask baka lalo lang hassle and more costs to consider (e.g. replace sensors due to repair mistakes/poor tools in some tire repair shop, periodic replacement of all sensors).
4. Front parking sensors - meron na ba nakapag install nito na just add on sa existing rear ultrasonic sensors. Yung parking kasi sa bahay, palagi merong ibang cars and have to turn the nose very close to them to swing-in in reverse sa garahe. I was thinking DIY with normal rear sensors but then having issues how they should activate intelligently. Also an option may be front parking assist camera, e.g CD-R king wireless but the activation would then be manual and display is separate from HU, kaya lang this would be prone to dirt if mounted in the grill area.
5. Side mirror mounted turn indicators - pwede kaya plug and play yung OEM side mirror cover with LED turn indicator sa GLS-V o buong side mirror assy kelangan palitan? Any idea of costs?
6. Fire extinguisher - Just want to ask kung meron na naglalagay neto sa MS natin regularly and if it makes sense at all, and if so, where to store it safely.
7. HID - meron naba nakapag OEM HID upgrade ng GLS-V to the one used in the GTV, including the auto-leveling function? Any idea of costs to do it? Ang advice kasi ng Amcar di pa raw sila nakagawa ng ganun.

hello po mga sir n mam, nabalita kanina tv patrol ang mga i rerelease sana na libo libong defective na naman na LTO plaka pero pina back job ulit sa nagpiprint, mga last week daw ng feb. matatapos....... ang masaklap...... kakukuha ko lang nung sakin last tuesday at OO madali mabakbak ang print para lang cyang sticker tas nag hihibla ang mga edges ng plate means hindi lumapat ng maayos ang print, at pag hinila mo or kinutkut mo yung hibla, dirediretso cya matatangal sa plate, dapat cutter mo or guntingin kasi ang kunat napaka stretchy.... hays, balik ko kaya? or wag nalang kasi malamang abutin nanaman ng siyam siyam to bago ibalik.....
