I am using 235/55/R18 tires which matches the original rolling diameter of the stock factory tires fitted on the 17inch wheels.

This tire specs will be the best for your 18s. Bridgestone cost around 12k to 10k each and I think Yokohama cost around 9k. Maganda na yung lapad nya since medyo lalabas sa body yung goma.

Anyway, yes, you can have an alarm fitted on your ASX. I had one installed so my doors would auto-lock when I start driving the car.

yes 2012 ASX GLS comes with push button engine start and keyless entry. Mits dealer told me I will lose my warranty if alarm not installed by dealer or by winterpine. Winterpine giving me Code Alarm for 6,500. I feel its too expensive, no auto lock and no auto arm. just the alarm

Nakuha ko yung alarm ko sa winterpine 6,000 2 months ago. Nag auto arm naman yung alarm pag nakalimutang mong iarm pero di nag auto lock. Unang install nila di nag bibilink yung ilaw pag nag alarm sabi ko bakit ganun ayaw. Ganun daw talaga pero pinilit ko dapat umilaw pag nag alarm. Kasi di mo malalaman na sasakyan mo na pala yung nagaalarm pag malayo. Inulit yung installation at nakuha din. Tinap nila sa central lock kaya walang separate remote para sa alarm.

Just had a drive through the zigzag mountain roads of Tanay Rizal. (Starting point would be the RC Cola bottling plant and ends at the town with the Shell station.) It was actually my first drive with my ASX on it's 18in wheels/tires. Handling was great and better than my previous experience with the 17s. Even managed to out-drive a Ford Explorer and a modified Toyota Altis that were carving their way through the same road.

For those who will be going there for a fun drive on a weekend, I suggest keeping your speed at 60kph through the curves because some of the curves may catch the unwary due to decreasing radius curves. Avoid using the brakes too much by keeping your CVT in manual-shift mode. You'll be using mostly 2 and some 3 only.

The "road" itself was great, just as I remember it BUT getting there is kinda a small pain because of some amount of traffic due to road work going on before I reached the "road".

Nice. This is the route I usually take going to our province (Laguna). Kailanagan medyo kabisado mo yung road kasi there are parts na puros curves talaga especially dun sa Laguna. Madami din bikers and "bikers wannabe" ang nag joy drive dun.
