Having the same problem at speed above 130kph. I wonder if it is a design problem in our car air intake. Sabi sa akin sa casa kailangan daw ibaba at linisan ang AC condenser at baka daw madumi na but I doubt if that is really the problem.

Not only Mitsu has this issue of burnt-rubber smell, just explore threads, even Honda & Toyota at early stage of ownership do have as well.

I had once noticed this rubber smell from the AC a year ago while driving my tatay's truck when i floored the pedal suddenly from 80-120kph for a chase, only that. The truck now has more than 100k mileage, no more recurrence.

In the middle of this Forum Bro, napagusapan ang FC. Many ASX owner shares their FC, then you can make an estimate for each & everyone's FC.

For me, 10.2Kpl average for my 6mos of use.
    Highest experience = 17Kpl
    Lowest experience = 7Kpl

Hindi naman sa case ko Bro.
Almost 2x or 3x ko pa lang siya na-experience but the smell doesn't penetrate inside when the windows & air-vents were closed.

It smell only after I parked but my observation is, yung materials na may contact sa hot surface especially pag long drive kaya nagkakaroon ng unusual smell. Then, after some time e mawawala din.

This time, point of observation para malaman kung saan talaga galing.

Ano kaya pwede kong gawin about dito? and if ever mag pa install how much kaya ang cost?

It's just a matter if you want original or aftermarket interior lights fitted into your ASX (and the associated cost plus labor). Just go to your trusted aftermarket auto parts shop and look for something that would fit your preference and budget.

Personally I don't see any major issue of the ASX not having interior lights at the back seats. It would be nice to have them but not a big issue with me.
