That's an original mod kit from ROAR, Japan! Seen that from their brochure but decided against buying it because it is very expensive!

Last week I test drove the Subaru XV and Subaru Impreza 2.0L (non-turbo). Honestly I am disappointed with the lack performance from the engine. And I am very happy that I bought my ASX.

Hindi kaya nasanay ka sa mod ng ASX mo GH na w/ increased HP?

(anyway, discouragement yan sa subaru future buyer! At syempre, lalong proud ang mga ASX owner.)

It not because I have more power under my hood, the current Impreza and XV simply feels as if it has no power.

I have driven the previous model Subaru Impreza 2.0L and the new model simply has no power to accelerate.

How is ASX Better? Actually we are very satisfied with Lancer EX MX 1.6 and thinking of getting ASX because of it, and just comparing it with XV or CX5, so can you please enlighten me. Thanks.

With the EX 1.6L, the 4AT gearing was chosen well, the first two gears are relatively short, giving the car brisk acceleration in those gears and the last two gears are longer so it can get better fuel economy.

The CX5 also has similar lower gearing, making it a fun drive. The XV on the other hand, shares the same tranny as the Impreza (the same way as the ASX and Lancer EX are the same platforms and shares major mechanical components).

ASX and XV/Impreza has almost the same HP and torque rating for the engine.
Problem is XV/Impreza is heavier than ASX.
Another problem is XV/Impreza is 4 wheel drive, ASX is 2 wheel drive.

The effect is the percieved lackluster performance of Subaru. :/

The added weight and drag of the AWD does have its drawback on the car's performance. Having driven the ASX 4WD version back to back with the 2WD version, you can really feel the difference in performance.

Just saying, the previous model Impreza 2.0 was more fun to drive.
