As ghosthunter noted, it's typical 1.6L. I can compare it to a Civic FD (1.8L), medyo mas mahina ang hatak at slow speeds.

I'm still in break-in mode. Sabi ng manual I can have a 120kph limit, pero mga 80-90 lang ako usually.

As for the aircon, the MX model has a so-called auto climate control, pick a temperature in Celsius and that's it. Pero hindi rin talaga cya automatic, pag extreme (hot or cool) ang outside temps I still need to adjust accordingly.

I'm a noob. What do you mean by FD?

Pag coding. Hehe. I still use it half the time. M/T kasi ung vios ko kaya gusto ko rin gamitin chaka mas madali pansingit sa traffic.

So far sa nababasa ko sa lancer 1.6 glx wala naman major problems at wala yung umiilaw na abs? Ang problem lang is yung tumutunog sa likuran na langitgit?

im almost sold with the lancer mx. I'm just concerned with aircon. is there a workaround to improve it like replacing the compressor? thanks!

Never had problems with my a/c. Babaan mo nalang thermostat. Pag naka auto naman kaya naman nya. Ung mga tunog na naririnig is the usual sound dahil sa plastic interior. Its tolerable naman.

I think ung abs problem was encountered sa mga naka 2.0L. Wala pa naman sa 1.6L. Pero the 1.6L is relatively new. Kakalabas lang last year.

If there is something wrong with the car u wanted to buy. Pls avoid or before u buy, let the seller shoulder the cost of repair.

Yup wala namang problema sa aircon it's not like sobrang init ng aircon na parang fan lang hehe Tolerable, for me wala sa point na maisipan kong gawan ng paraan like palit ng compressor.

There's a trick though pag nabilad. Open windows, max aircon. After it cools down a bit, u may close windows. Tint helps too.

Feel ko same lang. Ang alam ko na iba yung airconditioning is yung sa GTA. Nabasa ko somewhere ewan ko lang saan. Kaya yung mga gta kung tatanungin mo walang reklamo eh. I dont think its a deal breaker though. Malamig pa rin naman kasi. Medyo hirap nga lang yung compressor palamigin pagkatraffic tapos summer.

Thanks for the feedback! based from this thread, parang hirap yun AC pag nabilad especially during summer. sa experience ko kasi, honda and toyota madali lumamig kahit tirik ang araw sa trapik. im a bit concerned sa AC since mainitin ang passengers ko. :-D

the AC from my Lancer(2010) is so-so.
Kung gusto mo malamig, kailangan at least lampas 50% sa fan dial. In which case medyo maingay siya.

If you want the Lancer you can help mitigate this by getting good tints. Freebie tints usually suck, and get darker shades, mga 20s pababa range

i am not sure if the cause of poor aircon performance under the hot sun is the aircon itself, or the under-insulation of the car..
the ceiling of my innova does not get as hot as my lancer's ceiling. and my base sentra's ceiling is the hottest of them three!
