PAL sucks laging delayed. The best sa mga nasubukan ko is Cathay Pacific and SIngapore Airlines tied sila para sakin. US carriers also suck.

Speaking of PAL, last time ako nag PAL (international flight) late yung departure ng one hour. Sabi nung ground steward eh we would be given daw a "sumptuous" dinner.

    Ano yung dinner?

    McChicken. Amft...

Centennial. We were supposed to fly-out at 11:00pm so boarding dapat eh 10:20pm or so. Abay 11:00 na wala pa boarding announcement. Nag-announce ng delay of flight eh 11:30. Lapit yung chief ground steward nila. Ayun, nag announce nga ng meal. McChicken. :D

Ang good thing lang eh we were allowed to go for seconds.

Meron din akong bad (or worst!) experience dyan sa PAL. During the late 90's (Bahrain based pa ako noon), pabalik ako ng Bahrain via Dubai. No reasons mentioned kung bakit di makakarating. We have to wait na lang daw, at ang sasakyan namin, yung plane na galing pa ng Sydney, Australia. WTF! In total, almost 6 hrs ang naging delay ng flight. Ang daming nagalit.

Pina-cancel ko na lang yung flight ko, dahil yung connecting flight ko from Dubai to Bahrain, di ko na aabutin. Sabi pa ng PAL, di nila ako ihu-hotel sa Dubai, despite that delay, at sa airport na lang ako maghihintay. Pina-off load nila yung bagahe ko.

Palaman? He-he!

I think the best business class deal is with CX. You're not sitting facing forward, but at a certain degree such that you can lie down flat and have your own neat 'cubicle' with all those amenities. Wife and myself were able to have this unique experience last August. However, I should admit that it feels a bit uncomfortable taking off and landing in that position....

When we pitched for PAL in the mid 90s these were generally the top airlines. The usual suspects from Asia were SQ, CX, TG, MAS

PAL was somewhere in the 50s

Could it have fallen since then?
