You could also use repeaters or boosters as well as external replaceable antenna's to increase signal strength or add multiple AP's in dead or weak spots.

Since you're going the 802.11g route, you have 2 choices at the moment. A Linksys or other similar Networking Manufacturer using the 54 Mbps speed or the boosted one that goes up to 108 Mbps, which I believe is made by Netgear. This of course is dependent on signal strength, range, environment and interference.

*** Just a word of warning *** if you have or are in range of a 2.4 Ghz Wireless Phone, using this in conjunction with a 2.4 Ghz radio band router would result in disconnection. You can either change channel's or go the 802.11a way... which uses the 5 Ghz radio band
