It seems this is consistent with this model, HS 24IST. So 24/9 is 2.5 hp. The cooling capacity is 22,683 kJ/h. I have forgotten the conversion factor and I'm a bit lazy to look for it so I don't know if the result is the same.

I remember this rule of thumb about basic power requirements for air conditioning units, 1 hp for every 15 square meters. This doesn't apply if you have a mezzanine or the walls are made up of glass or you have other heat sources not found normally in your house. In this case, an engineer should do the computation.

I wonder if there's a rule of thumb that is expressed in cubic meters, that should make easier estimates​.
