Got the Carrier 1.5hp window type inverter last year. So far, no issues. We're satisfied with its performance. Been using it for around 13 months now.

Hitachi is cheaper but might be harder to find parts.

I think mas matibay dahil asa isang box lang lahat.

Which is why i opted first for a conventional window type Panasonic for one of the rooms in our place. Tutal it won't be used as much yet and i'll just get a window type inverter once the pricing and selection for one becomes more mainstream.

Almost same sila kasi may installation fee pa ang split type.

Yes, at its current pricing, you are just paying forward your savings in electricity, much like the hybrid cars. Whereas before you benefit from the gas savings from hybrid cars after 5 years, it is much longer now because gas has come down from 50s to 40s. Just like electricity rates, so payback of inverter types take longer. Pano kung bumigay before the payback?

Previous bill ko non inverter aircon.. 1hp 8 hours per day on weekdays--- and 8hours per day din on weekdends-- umaabot ng 7-8.5kper month

With an inverter aircon 1.5hp min. 12hours on weekdays and almost 24hours on weekends meralco bill ko nasa 4.3.4.6k Lang per month...

Savings ko nasa 3.5k din per month...

In a year Lang bawi ko na... Pinag bile ko sa aircon...

Thanks for the reply guys. Dami ko kasi nabasa na horror stories online from kolin window inverters. Mura nga sana yun. Yung hitachi naman baka nga pag nasira e walang pyesa. San po ba gawa hitachi? Yung carrier ang best option i guess but for 37k, baka mas maganda mag split type na lang?
