*niky: gaya nung link sa post mo, nasa post 469 na (as of writing)!

At least OTEP's question does not contain the logical contradiction. Some here have been making it though, I've already explained both (the logical contradiction and the physical problem) but those sites explain it better.

*Anonimus: For the nth time, the conveyor belt does not exert any force on the plane itself and will not affect the wind on the plane's wings. The only consequence to the conveyor belt moving is that the wheels will be spinning extremely fast, perhaps causing extreme temperatures and vibrations to cause bursting tires, bearings seizing up or landing gear falling off. In that case any "opposing force" has nothing to do with affecting the outcome of the experiment.

so it still boils down to how much wind is passing through the wings as stated on the experiment.

how about trying it with a jet engine? where the prop cannot force air into the wings.

Will the Airplane Fly??????????
