look at interest rates many years ago

that's how banks can double your money

    kaya dati 20% per annum

So banks are basically useless nowadays it is just mainly use right now for borrowing money. You can just keep your money at home.

Yes, much more convenient to just keep your money within reach either physically or digitally. That's what banks are good for now, a transport hub for business to people, employer to employee and vv.

but of course it's not safe to hold large amounts of physical cash

pano kung manakaw o masunog bahay

(kahit may safe ka pano kung akyat bahay gun to your head open the safe)

think of banks as providing a service -- keeping your money safe, making life easier (making transactions convenient)

just don't expect banks to make you rich

that's not their job that's your job

Okay.... speaking of banks probably in the near future you don't need a physical bank everything is now digital on the internet when you make transactions.

i see banks as where money passes thru

that's where you get paid for things you sell

and that's where you pay suppliers for things to sell again

repeat again and again and again...

yan ang silbi ng bangko -- they provide the plumbing

unless one enters into a special "investment arrangement" with the bank,
that bank is just caja de hierro and a transport hub for me.
i go to the bank and direct them to send xxxx pesos to this and that entity.
i also withdraw larg-ish sums on a regular basis, for household use, as well as for pamisan-minsang luho.

Salamat naman, napaka impractical at mahirap talaga huminga sa mask. Dagdag pa na it encourages crime kasi hindi kita ang mukha, no effort to come near you and perpetrate a crime kasi hindi kilala sa CCTV. Pati mga nagmamanman sa neighborhood, you don't get to recognize unfamiliar faces na.
