    Asking for a friend.

What's the difference between "earned" and "given" ?

Do we on the "earned" side, have the bragging rights over those on the "given" side?

While bragging in general is frowned upon, mas walang karapatan magyabang if bigay lang naman sayo. Dami kong nakikitang flashy pero powered by parents. [emoji58]

We might also consider what either side does with what they have earned or was given.

If the given party helps provide for the rest of the larger family, or is involved in charity work; then I don’t see why they should be ashamed of what was granted them. It just so happens that life dealt them a favorable hand.

Let's say watch, cars, and house? Basically anything. For women maybe bags and jewelry?

Disclaimer: i couldn't care less whether that particular thing was earned or given. Pero personally, i want to earn my stuff and luho. [emoji4]

But not all rich kids are given stuff just for being kids of rich parents

There are those who earned it

Nakakairita nga ung mga mayabang na rich kid na walang ginawang matino tapos binibigyan pa ng kung ano ano

But there are rich kids who do things that make their parents proud kaya parents reward them

Like kids who manage their parents' business well

If your daughter is not on the right age to earn money(still studying). I think there's no harm on it.
