While bragging in general is frowned upon, mas walang karapatan magyabang if bigay lang naman sayo. Dami kong nakikitang flashy pero powered by parents. [emoji58]

We might also consider what either side does with what they have earned or was given.

If the given party helps provide for the rest of the larger family, or is involved in charity work; then I don’t see why they should be ashamed of what was granted them. It just so happens that life dealt them a favorable hand.

But there are rich kids who do things that make their parents proud kaya parents reward them

Please don't take offense but I hope you are not spoiling your child. Kawawa siya when she becomes an adult. She won't take disappointments and "no" very well. Unfortunately hindi lahat maco control ng magulang to shelter or protect the child. I grew up with people that were very spoiled and it did not turn out good. Kahit sa corporate hindi makatagal. Walang value sa pera (failed businesses) because the parents always save their ass.

kapag earned, nakkaproud, up to you if bragging them would make you happier. but when its given, somehow, nakakaproud parin kasi you must have done something good to this person kaya mat binigay sayo. sense of gratitude mararamdaman mo.

but personally, I have this principle in life, to earn everything on my own. hindi aka proud sa sarili ko kapag bigay, hndi ko pinaghirapan. kaya whenever I want something so bad, I really work my ass hard as well.

Hindi lahat ng given are necessarily spoiled. Best example UF ko, her lola gave her several condos when she was 23 or 24 iirc kasi masinop nga kaya favorite. From those condos given to her she was able to buy at least 2 more. Her Lola also paid for her MBA. Yung isang sister niya typical brat walang binigay.haha.

None taken, she’s turning 14 and totally the opposite of wifey she even hates to go shopping with wifey, but she works hard on her studies when she wants something like going to a concert that’s always our deal good grades good rewards..
