I went to my Tito's house kanina and he showed me photos of our ancestors. I am wondering lang why they are dressed LIKE AMERICANS/WESTERN. My Gen 1 Lolo I think is the one who migrated from Spain but why are their paintings e they are wearing suits? Iba kasi vision ko ng Pilipinas in the early 1900s

My grandmother had a toddler pic that looks like it's from the great gatsby era in the US. Can anyone explain to me?

Great great great grandfather (don't know I assume 1830s)
Great great grandfather (don't know I assume 1860s?)
    Great grandfather born 1892
Grandfather (My dad's papa) born 1917

    Grandmother born 1920s

Ang bait talaga ng mga staff sa St Luke's. My second Mom goes there kasi for her weekly check/dressing. I told them na she got covid, kinakamusta pa rin siya regularly ng staff and doctor niya (not pulmo). My second Mom looks forward to her weekly check nga kasi mas mahaba pa biruan at tawanan sa check up.

Also, I noticed na "younger" doctors as in 40s and 50s are always on time. Kakahiya nga kasi several times kami pa na late, ang nangyayari last patient kami. Kaya kahit meron pang less than 2 km sa bahay namin na hospital, I'll stick with SLMC. From guard up to the doctors CONSISTENT na super accommodating kahit wala kang connection or kakilala.

if the campaign period for national candidates starts feb 11, 2025,
should not comelec disqualify premature campaigners this early?
    i mean, that's outright cheating!

There is no such thing as premature campaigning kasi sabi ng SC hindi ka naman candidate pa before Feb. 11, 2025 or start of campaign period, so hindi ka technically nagcacampaign. In Peņera vs Comelec, G.R. No. 181613, November 25, 2009, the Supreme Court ruled that aspirants only become candidates once the official campaign period begins.

Section 15 of RA 8436 and RA 9369 should be amended muna kasi it states na "Provided, That, unlawful acts or omissions applicable to a candidate shall take effect only upon the start of the aforesaid campaign period".

    checked the quoted RA sections.
in my limited knowledge of the law,
... they pertained to the conduct of the voting process.
    ...perhaps in another section?

    read the quoted penera case.
got a headache, doing so. i did not get such headache, reading thru the more complicated medical texts.
    sa dulo. dun sinabi.
    personally, i do not agree.
it creates a huge loophole for candidates to use.

Agree with you there. The decision has been criticized. I got a headache as well. They should have reconciled the RAs with the Omnibus Election Code which provides:

"Section 80. Election campaign or partisan political activity outside campaign period. - It shall be unlawful for any person, whether or not a voter or candidate, or for any party, or association of persons, to engage in an election campaign or partisan political activity except during the campaign period: Provided, That political parties may hold political conventions or meetings to nominate their official candidates within thirty days before the commencement of the campaign period and forty-five days for Presidential and Vice-Presidential election."

Agree with both of you kaso its the legislative who created this mess and the courts can't do anything. And my thought - as with many reasonably minded men - is that they want that loophole for their own intentions hehe
