Around 3 or 4 years ago, I wanted to buy apple tarts at Rowena's, I turned back because of the traffic (good thing I only came from Sta Rosa). Rowena's has branch now at Nuvali so that's good.

Not just Balay dako and Antonio's. There are more restaurants unique to Tagaytay. Personally, it's the journey that I enjoy. I like stopping by road side fruits and plants vendor, buying pasalubong, and restaurant hopping.

I will never go to Tagaytay on a weekend or holiday though. I also don't understand people who brave Tagaytay traffic.

    some folks have no choice.
    it's in the job description.

i target the window period. 2-5 pm.
and that long road work isn't doing any good, traffic-wise.

What do you mean it's in the job description? People who work 8 to 5? They can file a leave and go on a weekday or go to another place that is not traffic on a holiday.

i know of some folks from the metro, who have to go up there on a regular basis, because they work there.
they have more business during weekends and holidays.

That's the exception of course. I meant vacationers who troop to Tagaytay on a holiday or weekend.

but what is the percentage of people who to go up to Tagaytay on a Holy Thursday for work? Minimal

My point is, people who have the choice NOT to to go Tagaytay but still do so. Those are people that I do NOT understand.

    "millennials?"
    heh heh.

some folks do not have the kind of employers other folks have.
for some folks, the days they may be allowed to go on leave, for whatever reason, including a trip to tagaytay, are fraught with rules. income kaltas rules.
for the majority of working people, weekends and holidays are just about the only days they can go. outside of that, kaltas na yan sa income.

Same here, more than ten years ago, every Sunday, rain or shine or storm for about 3 years....SouthMM to Tagaytay then Ligaya Drive then Talisay then Tanauan then STAR then Lipa Church (with matching Lipa Grille) then back home in the afternoon via Turbina at that time....
