From what I've heard, they've had to make it that way now because under the old system, people would just book slots but never show up for the appointment. Appointment slots would get filled up, but would not actually be used, so kawawa naman yung mga talagang need na ng appointment slot for passports.

Ngayong bayad na agad, eh obligado na sila pumunta talaga or forfeit the payment. To me, I think that's only fair.

I see that makes sense but I guess there will be fewer appointments and more walk-ins (if they accept walk-ins) if that is the case.

Anyone here renewed their passport recently in DFA Aseana? we plan to use the courtesy lane for passport application and renewal for 2 minors..... but is the slot limited or should we go early?

when i decided to post at the regular lane, aba! ang daming bakante.

once the line gets moving, mabilis na.
btw, make the payments in advance.
in my case, the cashier's queue took considerably longer than the processing queue. at the last minute kasi, i decided to have them courier it to my address so that i do not have to go back. hence my having to pay at the cashier.

yes better get the courier service less hassle. I recently received the PSA birth certificate via courier service also.

I'm now about to book an appointment for DFA passport renewal in Aseana I don't know probably just a glitch in their system. All slots are fully booked from Feb 21 to 29 and no slots opened yet for March.

Nothing. You can check DFA appointment online and you will see all slots are fully booked. So I cannot book for an appointment. The March calendar you cannot click because it is not open yet by DFA. I prefer in Aseana because we have errands in that area afterwards.

Not a glitch, matagal nang ganyan dahil inaabangan daw ng mga agencies at binubook agad ung mga open slots. Either, monitor mo for open slots or try mo sa ibang location.

Ang ginawa ko noon is to write a script to monitor the website for open slots every 2 minutes then notify ako pag meron open.

Okay will monitor it.... they should have opened slots for March. Before it was easy now their system is a bit hard.

I just find it weird with my colleagues vehicle. I rode his vehicle and noticed that he has a sun strip visor installed in the windshield but he already has a medium dark tint installed in the windshield. So it is like a double tint he should have remove the sun strip visor since he will be putting a full windshield tint.
