this is what i remember before covid...

the bus i refer to, is the regular bus with a bustop terminal at the airport.
upon exiting the arrivals bldg, turn right into a downward sloping walkway. at the end is the bus stop. choose the appropriate bus number, po. i forget the number, but it's in google, yata. "bus from airport to downtown."

fare payment is via octopus card or exact cash. no sukli. there is a card dispensing window nearby, with non-english speaking dispenser. if i remember right, no foreign currency accepted. exchange (some of) your furrin money at the in-airport money exchange. hindi naman nagkakalayo from the competition.
btw, the octopus card is good for 2 years. if you intend to return soon, you can opt to hold on to the card and not surrender it for monetary value, upon leaving.

sanay si bus sa maletas. the bus has stacking provision for multiple maletas for airport folks. don't expect a helping hand. "lift your own." good luck.
but you have to know where you're supposed to get off. the bus has small monitors to help you determine where you are. and you're lucky if the bus driver is communicable in english. it's scary the first time.

there's a free shuttle for the regal hotels. instead of turning right upon exiting the bldg, one turns left and walks a much longer way, into the regal airport hotel at the far end. the free shuttle passes by there for passengers, at regular intervals, for regal hotel guests only. heh heh.
i do not know if the other hotels offer similar service.

the limo, train or the taxi are other possibilities, but they're more expensive than the bus. kahit tatlo kayo sa taxi, the bus is still cheaper.

I think you are referring to the CityFlyer bus. It is okay to ride that bus if you don't have many baggage and if you are going solo or just the two of you. Yes that's the free airport shuttle that I'm talking about that stops at different 5-Star Hotels or all Regal Hotels only? so I will book a hotel near the hotel stops it will be more convenient since they will assist you with your baggages, strollers. I don't recall riding a taxi before from airport to hotel because it is expensive. My dad has a contact in HongKong which fetch us from airport to hotel vice versa.

ilan ba kayo? children? heavy maletas?
kung hindi gaano ka-bigat, disiplinado at controllable sila, bus should be fine.
otherwise, if medyo marami kayo at/o mabigat maleta, or if children, consider a van for hire.
children can be a game changer.

i don't usually mcdo chicken, so i don't know. whypo? what's a'happening to their chicken?
my regular order kasi is mcdo bigaa mac meal twister fries (while in season!).

the paint has to be dense.
googling, the comments are varied and not universally yes nor no. i guess that means, "it works, but not as well as we want".

i know there are sound-deadening panels. would sound-deadening panels be acceptable?

Meron pero hindi nga ganun ka-effective talaga. Talo yan ng sound absorbing panels or acoustic wall covering.

Thinking of buying a 13" Mac Air. Ang M2 sa Powermac ay 65k, sa Apple store ay 58k pero may risk na mawala or ma damage sa transport. Sa Black Friday sale sa US ay around 58k din pero M2 na kaso nag papabili rin ng laptop ang anak ko so di ko alam kung pwede sya mag bitbit ng 2 units, baka sitahin sa customs.

if it's not in commercial quantity, you should be fine.
with every other passenger lugging along their personal laptops, the lines would be inhumanly long, if each passenger were questioned about their intentions for their laptop.

    but yes,
damage or loss while in transport are a real potential problem.
    that's why there is insurance.
