    "you could have fooled me."

    many years ago,
in the mall and in the playground in america,
    "walang bata!"

i'll believe the philippines' declining rate,
when i see something similar in mololpisha.

    malayo pa ang pinas diyan

pero sumusunod tayo sa trend ng ibang bansa where they have aging population and low birth rate

    Increasing senior population

Meanwhile, PopCom said that the number of Filipinos aged 60 and older was at 9.2 million or 8.5% of the total population, which doubled from 4.5 million in 2000.

    sa totoo lang,
    many of our country's problems,
can be traced to its big population.
and yet, it seems taboo for our leaders to address it head-on.

    yep, that's probably it.
to adopt a family planning program, is to invite political suicide.

I don't get it bakit yung financially incapable of having children, as my elders would say, "Mahakbangan lang buntis na", samantalang those that are more than capable have difficulty having children, and these includes couples that married in their 20s, peak fertility pa yan. Norm na nga sa friends ko magpa IVF and I could name 5 off the top of my head na childless

I wanna see the stats sa class CDE ang may fertility problem?

Wala sila tax pero sa kanila napupunta pera ng mga nagbabayad ng tax tulad nito. Riot pa nga.

walang VAT sa carenderia ni aling tomasa, et al.

    i wonder,
has there been a study on how much in indirect taxes, folks who do not pay income tax, shoulder?
some of these folks probably do not grocery as often as the more affluent folks. some of them go to the palengke.

I read somewhere that one of the main purpose of the government is to get money from the rich to support the poor. I just can't remember who said that.

I don't disagree with that, the operative word is "support" not "give". Suportahan ng gobyerno mga mahirap na gusto mag small business. Scholarship sa mahihirap na istudyante. Hindi yung 4Ps program na napupunta lang sa rebond ng buhok ng ina imbis na mapunta sa pag aaral ng anak.
