Hahaha.
There is a delay sometimes in the reporting of news, or publishing of research articles, etc.
Pag may nabasa/nalaman na bagay not yet reported in mainstream media, makiki-pagdebate about it (in “professorial” tone pa), assuming the credentials, or research of others upon themselves.
Then when the matter finally comes onto the news or is released on websites, they point and say:
“I predicted that!”
“I said that before.” (actually, inunahan lang bago made public by the “real” expert)
“I’m right again!”
Maraming ganun, may variations pa sa style.
In the fictional Harry Potter, there’s also a “phoney" (i.e. poser) character named “Gilderoy Lockhart”. If you want an example more real world naman, Dr. Flavier, in his “Doctor to the Barrio” books wrote of the albularyo who made a great spectacle of “instructing” him when he and other people were present. Hindi naman pinahiya ni Doc, and the albolaryo felt good about himself in his self styled fantasy.
IMHO, I’d follow the example of Doc. Flavier and leave those be. Baka frustrated this and that lang mga yun sa totoong buhay. Clowns nga yung mga iba and bring a good laugh every now and then.![]()
hahaha
ganyan pala pag natalo sa debate (hygiene theater acrylic barrier)
dinadala sa ibang thread ang frustruation

Dapat yung daang hari sa alabang going to cavite should rename it FPJ road.

Uy. What happened here?
Debate? Contest? ...where? With whom?
I come here (pumupuslit), post a few things from time to time, read things on cars, joke around a bit on a thread here and there, then get back to whatever I’m busy with.
There is much to be done, and many responsibilites that have to be attended to in my reality, so to ascribe motives over things that transpire on an internet forum na “pang kotse-kotse” (!) Whew… I don’t have a lot of free time magisip ng kung ano ano, splice thing s totally unconnected- kulitan lang (as in not even serious banter) and presto! Conclusion’s that poster said these things because he's got a grudge(?) for some reason. Uh... sure.
Imagine what you will, but honestly, wala sa akin yung mga bagay bagay na yun. Really. I don’’t even know why I’m bothering to type these few paragraphs, except to take my mind off things for the moment. Its as useless & ridiculous to me as seeing a fight between fans of a boy band with another that even spills over sometimes into real life.
I even know some (dumb) people who got into a serious squabble, all because one didn’t “like” or comment on the other’s social media posts (and the imagined “slight” that implied)
What a waste of energy.
If you guys are stiill unconvinced- dami trabaho, people to manage and even after hours at home, the adults have adult matters to take care of. May oras pa ba magisip (or even reminisce) about useless things done briefly horsing around on the `net?. Its so far from my mind, because there are more pressing concerns sa totoong buhay.
Possible siguro sa mga wlang ginagawa, free to spend their days in idle thoughts & silly conjectures on the `net, but unfortunately reality is much more complicated in my case. Boy, I wish life were that easy!![]()
If one must know, my comment in reply to poster “Papi Smith” is one of the common (generic na nga eh) “modus operandi” I’ve observed lang naman of the legions, nay, hordes of brilliant people and ideas mushrooming all over the net and social media, lalo na with this pandemic. The world’s still stuck in this rut though.
Marami din probably thinking the same thing, ako lang nag sabi.
The topic of this thread is "What Are You Thinking About?" and I just wrote what came to mind at the moment...![]()
Kaya pala parang may nakita ako banner dati “No to Renaming of Del Monte Ave” ata dati, passing by the area to Baesa/Balintawak area. (Pumalag siguro mga residents, baka balak palitan din)
Ah. Don't those members of Tongress have better things to do than pass legislation renaming streets that already have well known names? Why tinarget Roosevelt Ave.? Considered output/accomplishment na ba yun? (Aside from putting their faces and names on matters na trabaho naman talaga nila in the first place, and spending taxpayers money for it)
Perhaps if they want to honor the late actor there are other ways. A plaque of appreciation to their survivors, a small memorial, or naming a scholarship fund for the deserving as a "Fernando Poe" scholarship maybe...![]()
it takes some time, to get used to the new name of the street... like a lifetime.
ask pasay locals where arnaiz is, and you get a quizzical look. ask them for libertad, and they will even imprint on you their favorite landmark.
i still have problems calling herran by its newer name, pedro gil.
and who the hades is gil puyat, when everyone knows buendia?
but even i have problems remembering UN avenue used to be called isaac peral ... yes, isaac peral the spanish submarine.
and did we know that there are two J. Nakpils in philippine history?

Herran... napaisip ako where that was.
Even Isaac Peral is an unknown.
I did mention in a post about Pasong Tamo (Chino Roces) and Dewey Boulevard (Roxas Blvd.) though
Nagawi ako sa Araneta Ave. din sometime, and with the new elevated toll way connecting the SLEX to the NLEX, it seems like a totally different place.
Guys, be kind din minsan if you see a car driving a bit more slowly than usual, or parang di alam saan pupunta- the driver's not dumb, but in some cases, may be unfamiliar to the area (hindi kasi nagagawi dun or nanibago). You will also find yourself in such circumstances din someday, somewhere else, kaya be gracious.![]()
