ang ibig sabihin ni Cathy sa anarchy is --

sa lagay nito ilan araw palang madami na nagugutom

as this goes on the masses will become more desperate

baka wala pa 2 weeks magkagulo na if LGUs can't provide food

imagine kung umabot pa ng Q3

this problem (that people say needs a health solution not military solution) is gonna become a peace and order problem that will need a military solution BELIEVE ME

If this takes more than a month, talagang security issue na yan. But before this came to being, it was a health problem.

Kaya lang magiging security problem ito now is dahil mali ang naging actions ng govt natin January pa lang.

I am agreeing that police and the military should indeed be utilized to man the checkpoints, but this is too late imho. The influx of tourists really made this an uncontrollable situation for the country.

I think it’s already a national security concern because of the declaration of state of public health emergency by the President.

Otherwise, the secretary of health is empowered to declare epidemics of National or international concern.

It’s in the “Mandatory Reporting of Notifiable Diseases and Health Events of Public Health Concern Act" of 2018.

In theory yes, but realistically what I mean and what uls probably mean is the violence and burglar acts that will follow.

well it became a health emergency when the virus reached the powers-that-be

if the virus only infected poor people an emergency wouldn't have been declared

its better na hindi yung poor people ang tinamaan. Mas magkakagulo.

once tamaan ang squatters area lets say biglang nagkakamatayan sa lagnat eh magkakagulo. Magiging madugo.

    Precisely.

The anarchy is the offshoot of the epidemic, the latter being the genesis.

I think it’s in the whereas clause of RA 11332 or somewhere that the State recognizes epidemics and other public health emergencies as threats to public health and national security, which can undermine the social, economic, and political functions of the State.

We need a declaration to stave off something like that to happen. I hope this administration can. And uls prediction would not happen because the ramification is unthinkable.

That’s why we have price freeze of basic necessities and prime commodities. Without the declaration, the price freeze would have no basis.

I think the prize freeze is provided under the Price Act.

Fake news lahat yan!

If this fake news came from troll farms.

Puro narinig, puro sabi ng friend ko ko.

I think it’s only when there is INVASION or REBELLION and when public safety requires it that martial law maybe imposed.
