the money the government currently pays the hog raiser for terminating their pig, is still much less than the potential money earned by the sale of that same pig.
it is just enough, to get a new, disease-free pig, and start all over again.

    basic law of economics.
    law of supply and demand.

it would not do, to wish ill on your katunggali's food staple.
once they lose it, they will turn to consuming your food type, causing demand to rise, and consequently, price.

Meron ba ditong may kakilalang GLobe DSL installer around Pasig area? Hirap makipag-usap sa mga agents. 1 week na kong nagpapasched ng tech visit kaso wala pa rin. Kung meron baka pwede paPM ng contact details nya. Babayran ko na lang yung service nya/nila.

    Maglakad ka around the area.
Yung mga namimigay ng leaflet, yun ang may kakilala.

Mas mabilis sila kasi sinusurvey nila agad yung lugar mo kung feasible or not.

Good suggestion. I'll try that one. Di kasi ako palalabas dito sa lugar namin eh. Unless may kailangan lang puntahan.

The wife always has a fit whenever I try to save money. In this case, the kids scuffed off much of the leatherette surface from the back support. The only part of the couch that is blemish-free is the part I sat on. The wife wants a new set. I suggested a reupholstering shop to convert our set to cloth (the sensible Pinoy way). She had a fit. Blah blah blah blah blah.

It's nice that you still have those very Pilipino sensibilities Master Jun. Any new furniture is gonna get worn out eventually, so might as well just have it repaired until you can't anymore.

We have a rule in the house, we only replace something if it can't be fixed or is no longer practical/efficient to use it. Most stuff gets donated so others may benefit from them.

Yup. I still have a CRT TV I keep around because it's still working great plus a VCR. I hate getting rid of stuff that still works.

All our hardwood furniture are at least, 16 years old. We don't plan on changing them any time soon.

Our old Sony Trinitron CRT lasted us 20 years and I only replaced it this year with a flat screen for one of my kids' room. I think it might even still work of the power supply component can be replaced.

We still have tools and materials left by my granddad and dad that my brothers use regularly.

Why replace it if it still works, right?

i finally side-lined our ancient but still-working sony wega flat screen crt.

i got a bargain in a larger, used samsung (lcd? led? who knows...) unit.
    60 USD only.
i wouldn't have bought it, if it were not for the price.
