Why do companies find ways to make life harder from employees

So our company changed their policy with regard to reimbursements for extracurricular activities spending, you can't use cash anymore and have to use the corporate card. The problem is very few employees have corporate cards (less than 5%) So now those with cards have to make the transactions on behalf of those without.

Naalala ko tuloy when crush told me about their new policy na staff needed his signature to take breaks. He was not happy with this (and I agree!) Sobrang abala yun for crush and they are treating their employees like school children. Though kung staff ako ni crush, I would take a lot of breaks so I get to interact with him LOL!

If i am not comfortable with the new rule/directive from HQ or suggestions from my subordinates, up for discussion agad as to why they came up with this new rule/policy. If i am still not comfortable with it, we scrap the idea altogether.

This was rolled out by HR so even management can't complain. I think they just want to make their lives easier (reimbursements) Hirap naman kasi not all places accept cards (eg palengke)

That is to avoid tax exposure on the company (withholding tax) and on the employee (compensation tax). Using credit card, relevant taxes will be taken care of by the bank when they pay back the merchant (service provider).

Malamang marami umaabuso. With CC, only official transactions will be made. Easy to audit also.

Pero AFAIK, dapat may official receipt kapag cash transaction.

If nawala nila, invalid na yung reimbursement unless they can prove na the transaction is valid and official.

May iba naalala ko dati nanghihingi ng resibo ng gasoline sa akin. Para daw pang company nila. Meaning di naman nila ginamit talaga sa gasoline yung pera pero may resibo sila.

Minsan kasi pag resibo lang requirement, yung receiving officer, di na tinitingnan kung para san nga ba yung transaction. Basta may resibo approved na.

Kapag gas, dapat may record din ng odo ng sasakyan para malaman kung nagpakarga ba talaga or hindi.

Apart from that, I am more lenient sa other transactions esp food and representation allowances.

Happiness is a choice. Maybe there are other things na meant for you. Dami nga dyan sa ilalim lang ng tulay nakatira.

We are still lucky pa nga compare to others.
