    But you have a car.

Have a nice place to stay.

Can eat more than 3x a day.

    Have presentable clothes.

    Have money in the bank.

I wonder how's the wealth distribution on a global scale.

    Bottom tier pala ako.

Car paid for by my family. House owned by my parents. What little savings I have came from my family as well.

Re clothes I have very few and mostly buy at tiangge hehe

I'd say your net worth refers to assets under your name, and cash that you have full authority over.

So hypothetically a house under someone's name even if bought by his/her parents is technically part of that person's net worth.

I say technically because in essence it was given not earned and I personally give higher esteem to assets earned through one's own merits. Of course that's just me. The reality is those blessed to be born into privilege will just get more free assets by default.

In cathy's case, it'll be hers din since only child siya. And if that's one of the parameters ng nag conduct ng study then i rest my case. No point in arguing since they already established it and the results seem pretty accurate.

Yes yes! Agree ako sa assets earned thru one's own merits are way more impressive.[emoji4]

That's true,I have more respect for people whose assets were not handed out. Also, even though I am an only child, we have a huge problem in settling estate taxes My cousin would often joke, baka may utang pa kami in the end
