Test drives really are a must. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable about cars. Paper specs cant really compare to the experience of driving the cars for yourself. Ive been agonizing over a couple of choices that have similar specs on paper. But boy oh boy are the drives massively different. Just did abother test drive today to confirm my observations. Same route etc. That cars couldnt be further apart in handling.

The VP of branch added me on FB. I've always admired him because he is smart, charming and hands on with his people. He is not that articulate though and I assumed he came from a generic school. When I checked his profile BAA pala! WOW! It's no wonder ang bilis ng pick up!

Same alma mater (GS and HS) pala ni boss CVT Wala pa kong kilalang mahina from his school except for one of our staff - but I think the quality deteriorated in the 90s na.

Iba talaga admiration ko sa BAA and ME grads

If you have a net worth of over Php 5M, you're actually part of the top 1% of the PH population.

I wish people would calibrate themselves correctly. I have a pet peeve against people who say they're "middle-class" when in fact they're much wealthier than average.

EDIT 100k usd and up pala.

If we use that as gauge e d ang dami na ng 1% sa Pilipinas Owning a Japanese Sedan and Condo or house and 1M in cash can classify a person as 1% already.

About 600,000 people with 5M or more in terms of cash and fully paid assets. Seems about right.

    But you have a car.

Have a nice place to stay.

Can eat more than 3x a day.

    Have presentable clothes.

    Have money in the bank.

I wonder how's the wealth distribution on a global scale.

I'd say your net worth refers to assets under your name, and cash that you have full authority over.

So hypothetically a house under someone's name even if bought by his/her parents is technically part of that person's net worth.

I say technically because in essence it was given not earned and I personally give higher esteem to assets earned through one's own merits. Of course that's just me. The reality is those blessed to be born into privilege will just get more free assets by default.

In cathy's case, it'll be hers din since only child siya. And if that's one of the parameters ng nag conduct ng study then i rest my case. No point in arguing since they already established it and the results seem pretty accurate.

Yes yes! Agree ako sa assets earned thru one's own merits are way more impressive.[emoji4]

That's true,I have more respect for people whose assets were not handed out. Also, even though I am an only child, we have a huge problem in settling estate taxes My cousin would often joke, baka may utang pa kami in the end
