Hey, if you truly enjoy this season, then God bless your joyful heart. But it truly has become stressful. Some Christmases ago some customers at Toy Kingdom were about ready to lynch a cashier trying to take a lunchbreak(it was past 1pm na)...this tatay looking guy was making a thinly veiled threat to not close up, yung isang ale nagwawala na. Even the guy at the baggage counter was visibly drained. Poor bastards.

Well, I think no one is being forced to go along with the traditional celebration of Xmas, and that includes gift giving or maybe going to parties. Maybe there are people who do not enjoy it and I can't fault them.

I have some relatives and friends who opt to just spend the holidays abroad because they don't want to be hassled by the Christmas rush and maybe their inaanaks.

The point is, there's always the door. People can leave any time and spend Christmas elsewhere.

it's just weird that yun mga OFW sa ibang bansa is really dying to go back to Philippines for the holidays, at talagang pinag iipunan ang over price plane tickets makauwi lang ng Pilipinas to celebrate with family, relatives and friends.

While meron naman mga nasa Pilipinas na they will opt to spend the holidays abroad, i have few friends na ganyan, laging nasa abroad pag christmas and new year. kala siguro nila masaya ang pasko at bagong taon sa ibang bansa, or simple anti social.

In my experience sa Japan mukhang masaya ang Pasko pero panlabas lang.

For those with deep pockets, yes, that's always an option. Meanwhile , the ones who tend to get most stressed are those ones who can't afford to pack up and leave. [emoji14]

We never spent Christmas abroad. One time I even had to fly back to Manila on December 23. My Lola would be so mad if we weren't complete for Christmas.

I just don't understand people who try to escape Christmas or hide from inaanaks Saya saya sa Manila pag Christmas. Get togethers and gifts and eating out

Either dito or sa abroad basta kasama mo Family, i dont think it will make any difference.

And hinde ko rin maramdaman na mas masaya ang Christmas dito.

Nasa loob lang na bahay pati mga neighbors ganun din.

I once spent New Year with my family in Shanghai, di ko na uulitin, yun ang pinakalungkot na new year that I've experienced, iba talaga ang new year sa pinas.

I've got a friend naman, he always goes abroad pag new year kasi one time yung bahay nila tinamaan ng ligaw na bala, sa room pa mismo ng few months old na anak nya, kaya sa sobrang takot na baka maulit, he always bring his whole family abroad a few days before new years eve and return a few days after.

When I was working abroad, instead of going home on Christmas season I brought my family abroad. We stayed in a hotel in a business district. That was the most boring Christmas season ever. Especially the new years eve where you can hear crickets instead of fireworks.

Iba mag celebrate ng Christmas ang Pinas. Sa ibang bansa Christmas decorations on Malls only starts few weeks jnto December. Unlike sa Pinas September pa lang Christmas season na.

I'm in the dark, I'd like to read his mind
But I'm frightened of the things I might find
Oh, there must be something he's thinking of
    To tear him away-a-ay
When I tell him that I'm falling in love
    Why does he say-a-ay

Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
    Uh-ah

I try so hard not to get upset
Because I know all the trouble I'll get
Oh, he tells me tears are something to hide
    And something to fear-eh-eh
And I try so hard to keep it inside
    So no one can hear

Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
    Uh-ah

    Oh!
He wants me, but only part of the time
He wants me, if he can keep me in line

Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, shut up now, voices carry
Hush hush, keep it down now, voices carry
Hush hush, darling, she might overhear
    Hush, hush - voices carry

He said shut up - he said shut up
Oh God can't you keep it down
    Voices carry
    Hush hush, voices carry

I wish he would let me talk

lagi ko naririnig ito sa mga tito friends, di ko alam ganito pala lyrics

world wars happen every few generations

feels like time is ripe for another world war

the last generation to experience war were those born before 1945

baby boomers - born after ww2

gen X - children of baby boomers (i belong in this cohort)

    gen y / gen z - millenials, post millenials

it's been too long since the last world war
