Went to the birthday celebration of my wife's grandmother. Their old family friends were there. I wonder why "you got fat" is still the usual comment for someone you just saw again after a long time. Why do Filipinos still think there's nothing wrong about making remarks about a person's size and weight?

It's rude. But when someone does that to me, I give them the benefit of the doubt that they are not aware that it's rude. Parang kanina I wore horizontal stripes and our suki at the palengke said lumaki daw ako! I

I feel awful. I think it's from the Jollibee. I'm really getting old because after I eat fastfood I feel dizzy

I ate at Jollibee last week after not eating there for years. I had a macaroni soup, maalat, I had a burger steak, maalat din. Tumikim ako ng iced tea ng kasama ko, ang tamis. Compared to other fast food parang ang jollibee kung di napaka alat ng pagkain eh napaka tamis.

The regular yum and fries were good. I agree on the iced tea, it's too sweet.

Since I'm sort of the outsider in that crowd, it was just amongst themselves. I just thought it's because they haven't seen each other for years that's why there's nothing to break the ice except to say how someone got fat or got old. I just felt that it got a little uncomfortable for some. Typical greetings were like, "nasaan yung anak ni ano?", "ayun o yung mataba dun". "ampayat mo nung bata ka..."

    sometimes, it's not the product.
sometimes, it's one's sense of taste, that has changed.

In this case (Jollibee) it's the product. Remember their tapsilog before was perfect even their fried rice. Ngayon iba na tapa is too sweet and their fried rice is never mind.

On the contrary, mas ayaw ko na lasa ng Jollibee now. Laging Meron after taste.

I think Jollibee is still the same since I only eat their burgers and chicken. I stopped eating at Chowking since Jollibee bought it. Food tastes like cr*p na.
