    Spent the day off from work. We all went to the mall. Mom and kids watched a movie while I sat around at the food court, found an outlet, and did some gaming/surfing on the laptop.

    That doesn't seem too different from my experiences there. This is back in the early 80's when my dad (driver) and I (baggage boy ) drove my sister to her dorm in UP (Quezon City) every Sunday. I think it took us two hours using the the Alabang-Zapote Rd, South Expressway, then EDSA. That wasn't too bad. The way back was much slower because traffic got really bad at Cubao and then Makati. Once past those two, the drive wasn't too bad.

    I wish the trash pickup folks would be clear with their pickup schedule when it comes to holidays. They were supposed to pick up bulk stuff (bundles of weeds, scrap metal, broken appliances, etc) yesterday. But, only the appliance pickup showed up. The others didn't (due to Columbus day). The regular trash pickup is normally Tuesday. But, they usually delay to Wednesday if there was a holiday. Well, they didn't delay today. So now, I have the bulk stuff, regular trash bin, and recycles bin all out up front.
