    The cheapest Lenovo Yoga 900 at newegg.com is $1399.00 for a 13.3" 3200x1800 resolution LCD, i7 6500U, 16 GB DDR3 RAM, 512 GB SSD, 2 in 1 touchscreen display.

That's over double the price of the 15.6" laptop I ordered for my kid (same CPU, 8 GB DDR4 RAM, same size SSD, better video: GT 940). My kid uses a laptop with an external mouse and keyboard + Wacom stylus and pad + external monitor for Photoshop. So, the Yoga's capabilities would just be wasted.

She wanted a Sager laptop like her mom's. I told her she can have one if she's paying for it. But, she balked at the $2k price. She settled for the one I'm paying for.

No kidding. The 13" and 14" ranges seem to be the most desirable laptop sizes for portability and command the most premium. Anything smaller and it delves into netbook territory.

    i suppose the logic is

smaller form factor = smaller, more closely integrated parts = more expensive

I guess so. I looked at newegg.com for an 11.6" laptop that has an i7 and 8 Gb of RAM. The only one I found was the following:

    HP EliteBook Revolve 810 G3

$1604.00. That little thing cost even more than the Yoga 900. They're on drugs if they think I'm paying that much.

Still bro.,- electronics in general and laptops in particular, in the US, are generally cheaper vs. here in the Philippines.

By about 35%, based on my latest check.

And its made in China, but when you buy in China it's more expensive than US.

I have no problems with that.

What gets me is the increasing price as the laptop form factors get smaller. It defies logic. The companies that make them must be laughing at us.

It was easier years ago. Manufacturers kept smaller laptops weaker and reserved the most powerful hardware for the largest laptops.

This is from 2003. The white 12" Apple iBook G3 cost $900. The dark blue 14" HP Pavilion cost $1600. The silver gray 15" Sager (or Alienware) cost $2000. Smaller, cheaper. Bigger, pricier. Simple.

Somewhere between then and now, things got all mixed up. A little 11.6" laptop can cost more than many 15" and 17" ones.

Hehe hindi naman siguro affected yung route im taking right now.

Since daily drive ko ito, I don't follow waze suggestions.

Grabcar Driver followed waze, since I want to try and see the route (waze) always give me when im driving hindi na ako nag suggest at nagpaka backseat driver.

    Ended up in bad traffic.

    Minsan din talaga sablay waze
Dahil kaya sa users? di nya pinakikita yung longer route pero faster. Or same travel time, longer distance pero wala traffic jam and di sayang sa gas.
