I talked to my Mom and said she was not able to sleep because she was feeling guilty. Now she wants to lend the full amount ata. I am a bit frustrated that she is making herself suffer. It's not even her problem.

I already texted that we will lend him 25k. They made me contribute 2500

I really hope our former driver will be able to pool the remaining 20k. It's a gawad kalinga housing pala and since they are not able to pay, the rights can be given to another family unless they pay that P45k. Iniisip kasi ng Mom ko pag pinaalis sila baka makiusap na samin tumira, I don't think makakatangi Mom ko. Okay lang sana kung 3 sila, pero 6 kasi sila e

He passed by today with his wife and he showed us the demand letter. 43700 nga. We gave him 25k and I hope he can come up with the balance until Apr 29

In that case better clean up your room para kasya kayo lahat. It looks like they'll be staying for a long time.

Let me be the devil's advocate here:

How sure are you that the money needed is really for the house?

And will you be willing to be that family who will lend him money again when another emergency comes to his family?

Nothing wrong with that. If you have extra money to spare, why not. Like you said, he was a good servant before.

Just laying down possible scenarios. 45k is not a small amount.
