and when you stumble onto the cheap ones, buy a couple. test before paying, if possible.

addendum: put superglue or epoxy around the segment where the cable enters the socket, to help stabilize it.

Dont bUy cheap type-c cables. Quality is extremely iffy. You have a super expensive phone. Use decent cables.

if i were me, i would buy the more expensive item the legitimate store has to offer.
yes, fakes abound. but i figger, the chances of fake-ry are less, if the store is legit.

some time back,
there was this knowledgeable person, being interviewed on china-made products.
he said, "the china factory can manufacture anything for you. name your price, and they will come up with the item, looking every bit like the high-end product it is emulating. but don't expect it to last decently long. some won't even work right, the first time."

btw cheapest OK cable i bought was bavin. sa cdrking may nabili ako mga micro usb na OK naman din, yun tig 100 plus, kaso madalas ma arbor

Fast charging na ba yang new phone mo? If so then you are tied with the cable and the wall charger that came with the phone. Very handy. My phone is fast charging. In 30min more than half full na batt from zero. But regular Type C cable can charge also at a regular rate.

Problema lang hindi pa common ang type C cable compared to micro USB. What I did, meron palang micro USB to Type C adapter. Meron sa Lazada mura lang. Bought two pieces. One stays at the office where I don't need fast charging and the other one stays with me. So that pag emergency at lowbat, I can just borrow regular micro USB cable and just plug the adapter. No need to buy dedicated Type C cables
