I agree with VP, prang USA o Subic nsa undergroud ang distribution ng kuryente at telco.
^ knee jerk ignorant comment IMO
Underground distribution lines cost up to 10x more to install, and are just as susceptible to interruptions from flooding. Malamang ordinary weather events pa lang (without high winds) eh knocked out na yung power grid if they were underground. We all know how bad we are with flooding.
Pros and Cons of Underground Power Lines
^Telcos now are doing microtrenching even submarine cabling. Our sewerage and potable water plumbing is underground since time immemorial(except in the boondocks'). It cost more but better/robust/typhoon-proof if properly installed than aerial.
I remember Rosing! I was really young then but I will never forget that typhoon. My Dad was in Quezon province at that time and he went home to Manila (thank God he was safe) I'm not sure if that was the typhoon na nabagsakan ng puno yung isang auto namin
Rosing, Milenyo and Ondoy are the worst for me (probably because it hit Manila hard)
Governor Pinol suggest to use dome shaped like building to withstand typhoons....
yeheyyyyy umuulan!!!! Ito sinasabi ko wet & cold.
Ang sarap ng simoy ng hangin.
i hope buong gabi maulan to madaling-araww. Im hopia for a 3meter rise in the coming days.
My relatives from the storm hit areas have been comparing it to their yolanda experience and this is worse daw.
do what you gotta do so you can do what you wanna do
Tyvm for the concern. No one was spared for rhe municipalities na dinaanan at northern PPC.
Dami pa din wala kuryente at runnig water. Mga 2 months daw mabalik ss normal yung mga yan. Help from other cooperatives are coming na din.
Ayus talaga.
^ nice to know you guys are doing ok. i've watched vids about the odette swathe of destruction and i hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
i remember going to a small fishing village in the municipality of quezon called berong. i think it's south of puerto princesa. off the tourist beaten track siya dati so i hope hindi gaanong tinamaan.
ibang klaseng ineptitude talaga ang typhoon response ni digong ang co. they're even blaming the media now because hindi daw nila ni-rereport ang mga bayang nasalanta. what do they expect , sila-sila di namang nasa poder ang pumutol ng paa ng mga journalists.

first heavy rain in months and its persistent. it would take a brief pause and it pour inches. tomorrows lowland activities will have to wait.

We need more rain.... Angat Dam is at least 9 meters short of its normal level.
Looks like summer is here. [emoji274]
