    but you should remember what "habagat" did some years back.
    some folks still shudder at the words "habagat" and "ondoy".

    ondoy was worse.
    read the statistics, po.
    no way could man have made that much water fall from the sky in so short a time.

    i don't know where you were, then.
    but i was in the middle of it. just my luck, that i was able to get home in one piece.

    9:30 am and it's already 102F. Reminds me of Las Vegas back in the early 70's. I think that was worse. We were still 100F and it was almost midnight.

    Maybe I can try that cooking an egg on the car hood thing.

    I guess it's officially a record high temperature on June 20 (yesterday) for our area. We hit 116F (close to 47C) air temperature. I'm sure it's much, much hotter in the city.

    Should be slightly cooler today. We're currently 109F at noon.

    The neighborhood kids don't seem to care. They're still skateboarding outdoors.

    I also heard reports of sticky asphalt and some shoes or slippers getting stuck.
