What is the difference between Thai and Filipino generals?
Answer: Thai generals now -- “may bayag.”
Filipino generals -- “may bayad.”

diba yang Thaksin na yan ang nagsabi na madaya ng pilipins sa SEA games tapos pinagalitan sya ng King nila........Beh! buti nga!![]()
May effect kaya to sa supply ng mga thai assembled vehicles dito satin?
Okay there you go... if sir van can do it on his own "sikap" without resorting to any coup outside R.P., then perhaps all of us can follow on his initiatives. It's just a matter of looking from within and utilizing what we already have inorder to compete globally. Another area to consider besides mining and offshore outsourcing would be natural gas or alternative fuel which we have plenty of. Our asian neighbours tapped into theirs years ahead while we have only 2 (I might be wrong) geothermal plants and 1 NatGas plant so far. I guess GDP growth of a country is directly proportional to its number and use of its natural fuel resources.
What I don't get is the need for a military coup.
Thaksin already called for an election for April this year but was overturned by the Thai SC since it was unconstitutional. It was then scheduled for Nov of this year instead.
Now - they are saying that elections will be held next year... sheesh.
M2, check Max Soliven's column today in Phil Star. You might get the answer to your question.
I want tv reporters to interview the main proponents of cha-cha, (JDV, defensor, pichay, atty lambino, etc)
sabi nila kaya dapat mag change ng form of govt is para kung ayaw na natin sa PM we don't need kudeta to oust him just a vote of no confidence sa paraliament, yun daw ang reason why hinde tayo umaasenso, bec of too much edsas, now that this happened to thialnd that they still need a military intervention para mapaalis yun PM nila, then it means lahat ng sinasabi ng mga pro cha cha were BS....
Iba ang form ng government ng Thailand... hindi sya parliamentary (like what the cha-cha group is proposing). The voters still decide on who to elect as PM unlike sa parliamentary wherein the parliament is the one who votes for PM.
As one column said - the military and anti-Thaksin forces foresaw another victory for Thaksin for the upcoming November elections that is why they took action.
It's been a few months already... and it seems that the military junta is enjoying its stay...![]()
