Well, press release could have just quoted exactly what the Phivolcs bulletin said.

Besides, in its own bulletins, Phivolcs have reported on both volcanic earthquakes and volcanic tremors. So if it omitted earthquakes in this bulletin, then this only means it wants to tell the general public that it was just tremors, and not earthquakes.

Its to highlight that these are special types of volcanic earthquakes.

Bakit hindi nalang gawin itong unioprme at isang consitent na description para hindi malito mga tao. Hindi lahat kasing talino mo sir.

On that I agree with you Doc. But in this case, it would have been easier to just quote the actual Phivolcs bulletin.

i noticed only now, that the phivolcs building is inside the up diliman campus.
so, does it fall under the up system?
how does it relate to the old geo dept?
