A fissure winds its way from the Taal bypass road to the base of a transmission tower in Cawit, Taal in Batangas. Numerous cracks have appeared in the towns of Agoncillo, San Nicolas, Lemery and Taal after the eruption of Taal Volcano, mostly in the Pansipit River Valley area.

isn't the crater where the lava came out of? that's where all the steam came from in the phreatic eruption. meron pa lava fountain at some point. mas surprising kung may natirang water pa dun sa crater.

as weeks pass townspeople will pressure their local governments to let them go home

LGUs will be torn between the demands of their people and obedience to the national gov't

we could see LGUs defy the national gov't

the national gov't could send soldiers

declare martial law

the longer taal volcano doesn't erupt it will make philvocs more and more unpopular

the psychology --- because of those scientists at philvocs people can't go back to their land... people can't start rebuilding their lives

people will resent the scientists

if taal doesn't erupt and after several months Philvocs declares it safe for residents to go back, imagine the anger...
