people are naturally attached to their property/material belongings kaya mahirap tanggapin at this time na everything is gone

their homes and things are still there naman... just covered in ash

kaya pa linisin, kaya pa ibalik sa dati

people will only accept everything's gone when it's really gone

so for now since di pa nangyayari ung malaking explosion people have the strong urge to go back to their homes

the gov't is trying to protect people from their urges

Four of the country’s most popular tournament venues are out of business at a time when their members and guests should be enjoying the fine golfing weather before summer starts.

“It’s gonna take a while (before the courses open), we have a lot of work to do,” says Rhoneil Cousart, golf director of Tagaytay Highlands and Midlands.

Being covered by a 14-kilometer radius imposed by the local government that gives limited access to the club, Tagaytay is in a quandary.

Maintenance workers are racing against time to save their greenery, needing to scrape volcanic ash off the greens and fairways before it causes permanent damage. The cost implications would be huge should they fail to.

When the cleanup work gets completed remains a big question – like the volatility of Taal - and even a great challenge.

A drone shot showing the extent of ash cover at Sta Elena is just unimaginable. In its long history, they’ve had closures due to inclement weather and their regular maintenance Mondays.

But four straight days of closure (and counting) has never happened at Sta. Elena in 25 years. And it’s certainly giving club management some serious headache. The Cabuyao club is using the safety card as reason for such, advising members that “ash and debris pose a very serious health hazard for both its members and employees”.

Over at Manila Southwoods, club management has sought for more time to put its two courses in playable shape minus the tons of heavy ash that rained hard on them on that fateful Sunday.

While taking the ash off hectares upon hectares of the sprawling property is the bigger problem, the challenge of disposing them looms ahead.

Meanwhile, regular players at the said courses are forced to take other options. Or even forget playing altogether for the meantime.

They will have second thoughts considering clubs in Batangas like Mt. Malarayat and Summit Point for sure.

ancient spanish titles, yes! tapos meron nakalusot na tct, alam mo ba dati eh bakahan yan, piangbawal lang ng government.

eto pa saan ka nakakita about few decades ago, nag iisang national park ang taal pero may mga tct ang mga tao... eh national park ay patrimonial property. parang kung umorder ka ng tahong sa resturant at meron ka na discover na pearl sa tahong, sino may ari? - clue na ha!!!!

Rights only. Its a national park, but I recall that during the time of Ramos there was an EO or law passed allowing settlement/rights claims.

We can't blame them to say in basically a barren land now? There's no water, electricity, food source, etc plus the looming deadly eruption that's coming and will certainly result to their deaths.

Pwede naman sila bumalik basta huwag na sila mag expect ng tulong from govt or anybody else.

Pwede naman nila sabihin they will absolve LGU and everybody pag namatay nila and huwag na sila I rescue pag pumutok na taal. Saka hinde na rin sila isama sa evacuation center just in case makalabas sila ng buhay.

They obviously don't value their lives, so why should everybody else bother as well.

Itong mga ito yun unang-una magreklamo pag hinde nakarating agad tulong from govt dahil sa kagagawan din nila.

It's not so much as ties to their place. But living in an evacuation area is very uncomfortable.

Mahirap matulog sa semento na cardboard lang ang sapin. Na isang libo kayo sa area pero 2 lang CR.

It’s a ticking time bomb, Taal Volcano now. If it’s pumping magma from all over the faults and plates to the generate a massive super volcano eruption . What is it up to? We don’t know

But our attitudes don’t help either. Yun mga mayari ng businesses sa tagaytay parang asar na asar pa at pumutok ang Bulkan, pampasira sa business nila.

Nagmamadali sila mag-open ulet dun, pressure ang LGU, Meralco, Manila Water para ma-restore kagad para back to business sila, at baka masira ledger ng January 2020.
