Well one factor is that Pinatubo was asleep for about 600 years and when it woke up, lahat ng naipon within that period of dormancy linabas in one big explosion. But still Taal is still dangerous given its' past eruptions. Sana nga lang it would start to calm down already.

well... it's not that simple.
it is a complex inter-action of the magma source, how it is accumulated under the volcano, and what the volcano does to defuse the situation.
while pinatubo was asleep for over 500 years, its increased activity was detected only a few months before it erupted to become the second largest eruption of a volcano in the twentieth century.
