Sumasakay ako pag walang kotse, pero i make it a point na maaga umalis ng bahay.

I completely agree with all the points you raised!

Fifteen pesos lang from end-to-end ang MRT.

Only as a last resort for me. Or (ironically) pag hindi rush hour/madaming tao. Or kung end-to-end yung lakad ko.

OK lang sana kung mahaba ang pila; madalas nagtutulakan na yan especially when people are in panic mode, wala na talagang pakialam basta makasakay lang. Kahit gano pa kalaking tao, you're no match against a mob.

i almost got trampled to during Ondoy(in hindsight, serves me right for showing up for work that day). Alam ko kasing flooded na yung mga daan kaya nag MRT ako. i was physically being pushed forward(mind you i'm bigger than the average pinoy). Seems it was only one guy pushing since i was able to push back and regain my balance.

And, it only takes one idiot to yell "bomba" to start chaos.

The goverment should take a hint that something is wrong when the lines get this loooong every rush hour...

I think that they know there's something wrong. But there's always a huge outcry whenever they try to raise the fare.

On really bad days the queue at North Avenue Station could reach near the EDSA/North Ave intersection. The MRT is already "oversubscribed"; masyadong marami pasahero kasi ang mura ng pasahe vs. bus mode.

Yes... pero during these hours lang

    1) 9 AM to 11 AM
    2) 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM

Makakaupo pa since North Ave.

Due to volume talaga kaya lines ended up like that.

officemate told me na kada station may alloted number of pax lang, so ang ending is stop entry muna bago sila magpapasok

Grabe naman yan. Dito ako sumasakay papuntang Cubao/Makati kapag me bibilhin or me imi-meet and di pa ako inabot kahit 1/5th man lang nito. Kapag ganyan na kahaba pila ibang way or form of transport na lang or di na lang talaga ako tutuloy kung maiiwasan.

Kaso may mga tao na no choice but to endure that everyday.

    choose your poison.

There's just far too many people riding the MRT/LRT. i bet those trains are already pushed beyond their specs dahil sa overloading. It's a small miracle that we haven't had a major accident up to now.
