The riding public is the one to blame, they always rant about the fare hike.. Tapos pag nagkaproblema, sisisihin nila gobyerno for poor maintenance. We have a very cheap mass public transpo, and as always "we get what we pay for"

bakait parang mas malimit masira ang MRT kesa LRT eh mas bago ang MRT diba?..so it means na during constructions palang sub standard na ang materials nila?
The problem with train systems is this, the rolling, rail, signaling are supplied by different entities. That's because to be able to get loans from say, Japan, the signaling system must be supplied by a Japanes company, say Mitsubishi, while theodolite stock is supplied by another foreign company. Instead our train system must be delivered turn key a single company.
A fare increase could have been implemented as early as 2005 as higher-ups knew the situation that early. Government dragged its feet not wanting to ruffle the masses' feathers. Now we have a humongous problem with Line 3.
The MRT carries 650,000 passengers daily. In comparison, the LRT1 only carries 480k, while the LRT2 only a measly 200k.
Naturally, it's subjected to more wear and tear.
Ngayon lang naging news issue ang train wear and tear but in my many years of riding all 3 train lines, I've experienced several disruptions in operations due to unscheduled repairs.

Susmaryosep.MANILA, Philippines – The Metro Rail Transit (MRT) had to suspend its operations on Sunday morning after trash got caught in its electricity supply cables.
A passenger told INQUIRER.net that it was around 10:00 a.m. when their southbound train was stalled for at least 10 minutes at Cubao station.
Vince Borneo, who boarded the train at North Ave., said they were told that the trains can only reach Shaw Blvd. Station because someone threw trash at the overhead wires (near Magallanes station) supplying electricity to the MRT trains.
Operations were resumed several minutes later.
Walang disiplina ang mga Filipino.![]()

^ and throwing trash which causes the MRT to stall will solve the problem how?
As I've said ,di kaya(maybe)?and I don't go their way either.some people are so disgusted,so they result to think less
Yung gobierno sinisi yung contractor at pasahero, yung contractor sinisisi yung gobierno at mga pasahero, yung pasahero sinisisi gobierno at contractor.
