Sumasakay ka ba ng MRT/LRT?

Pero ang maganda naman doon is yung orderliness ng mga tao despite the rush hour. Kung sino nauna sa pila siyang mauuna makasakay. And most importantly, yung mga kailangang bumaba sa station na yon nauuna munang bumaba bago sumakay lahat ng mga pasahero. Kung dito sa atin eh kala mo sasaraduhan ka na ng tren once makababa mga pasahero. Pagkabukas palang ng pinto sugod kagad doon naging sagabal pa sa mga bababang pasahero kala mo naman makakapasok sila pag di lumabas mga tao.

Well, Hong Kong's MRT suffers the same problem din naman dito. But because they're better at their railway systems.. at the very least, you don't get to smell your neighbor's killer BO armpits along your way.

But I won't cast them too much in a good light.. meron din sumisingit sa MRT nila especially those who are rushing. The reason why people aren't squeezing themselves at every train is because their train's turnover is very high -- you simply need to wait minutes just for the next one.

Dito sa atin may skip train pero you need to wait after 5-6 trains perhaps bago mag skip train. By that time late ka na.

But to answer the thread,

Nope. Not on a regular basis. My last regular train ride was over 4 years ago na siguro.

It kinda ended when a professional pickpocket took my iPod 6G from me. Nainis ako sobra nun since the iPod was barely a week old -- swore then and there that our public train system is my last resort when going from point A to point B thanks to security concerns.

Obviously hindi na pero gusto ko sana maexperience ulit last time anjan kame but no time eh.

Before when I was still working in Ortigas, kapag tinanghali ako at wala ng shuttle, no choice but to take MRT.
OK lang during those times kasi maluwag na kapag around 9am kana mag tren.

And yes, grabe ang tao kapag rush hour pa-northbound sa Ayala/Buendia stations.

Mabibilang lang ng daliri sa kamay ko nakasakay ng LRT. May isang beses sumakay ako grabe talagang unahan. Ako yung nauna sa harap ng door tapos may sumingit. Buti na lang hindi ko kailangan gumamit ng public transportation dahil lagi ako mauunahan. What's the rush manash!

MRT never pa. Maybe pag dumating yung time na meron lakad papunta makati at sobrang traffic na alternative eh mrt baka sumakay ako.

Pero sa tingin ko magbibike na lang ako kahit nakaporma pa. Kasi hindi ko kakayanin yung bantot sa sobrang sisikan.

sa MRT nung nagwowork pa ko sa ortigas/makati - yes.
nag-white polo ko minsan papasok. pagbaba ko ortigas me dark stripes
na damit ko.
after nun, puro de-kolor na suot ko.

ngayon, mga occasional na pagpunta ko sa MOA at nagiisa lang ako,
iniiwan ko sa trinoma oto ko then MRT na.

^Nung nag MRT pako on a regular basis naka t-shirt lang ako lagi. Yung polo ko, sa office ko na isusuot. Learned my lesson the hard way nung sumabak ako sa rush hour ng suot na yung polo ko. Sana di ko na lang pina plantsa at pinabanguhan. :D

Expect heavy traffic sa pagbaba ng MRT on the following stations

1) Pasay
2) Guadalupe
3) Shaw
4) Megamall
