Ako understand their situation kapos talaga sa pera eh. walang kita talaga yun operation.

Kung aalisin or bawasan yun subsidy tapos bulok pa rin operation ng MRT then dapat nagreklamo talaga. Pero as of now hanggat Sobrang laki ng subsidy magtiis Muna mga riders.

1:4 daw subsidy for every P1 na fare P4 Ang binabayaran ng govt.

    Masyado ng mataas

I wonder why the goverment does not want to relinquish management control to the group of MVP. Wasting taxpayer's money to keep it's end of the contract but delivering lousy service...

    malala na ang mrt

LOOK: MRT door open while train was moving

MANILA - MRT officials are investigating another glitch in its system after a photo on social media showed an MRT door was open while the train was running along Magallanes.

MRT spokesman Hernando Cabrera said the opening of the door could be due to a broken sensor. He said the train immediately stopped after the door opened and the driver immediately closed the door.

However, the door again reopened while the train was running.

"Somehow nung tumakbo ulit, bumukas ulit and the driver was forced na patakbuhin yung tren apparently kahit bukas yung pintuan, which is very wrong," he said in an ANC Headstart interview.

"It's a maintenance thing. We really have to do something...Critical yun."

He said all the passengers on the affected train were ordered to disembark at the Magallanes station and the affected coach was sent to the MRT depot for inspection.

So this means stop operation muna.

& one more thing, Yun daw kasing riles 3 na lang daw natira pero sa inventory nung dating cont. dapat 86 pa.

Nak ng teteng.....ipinakilo pa ata yung riles.

Possible. Me, experience-wise, I'm leaning towards the assumption that it is the government who is to blame. Most likely daming hinihingi na wala sa contract tapos ayaw pirmahan hanggang pumayag.

The riding public is the one to blame, they always rant about the fare hike.. Tapos pag nagkaproblema, sisisihin nila gobyerno for poor maintenance. We have a very cheap mass public transpo, and as always "we get what we pay for"

Nagpalit na ng trains ang LRT1. Majority of their rolling stock are the relatively newer hand-me-down Czech trains.

The problem with train systems is this, the rolling, rail, signaling are supplied by different entities. That's because to be able to get loans from say, Japan, the signaling system must be supplied by a Japanes company, say Mitsubishi, while theodolite stock is supplied by another foreign company. Instead our train system must be delivered turn key a single company.
