I especially hate those mother/baby tandem begging during noon time. Nakaka-awa yung baby imagine all the time exposed sa pollution, init, ingay etc.. ginagamit pa yung anak para lang mang limos. Makes my wife teary eyed sometimes.
Before, we give out coins pero ngayon we donate na lang sa ngo's at least we know our money really goes to the needy.

Nothing. When they knock on my car window, I knock back and that drives them away
On the same intersection (EDSA turning left to Pasay road) may naglilimos din matanda at umaakay buntis na babae. Malamang next month, tatlo na sila naglilimos.

Same with Sis Cathy_for_you. I just knock back.
It's such a pity seeing them on the streets begging but giving them will only encourage them to stay on the streets.

I never give coins/money. I just knock back.
Giving coins/money will just encourage them to beg until they grow old.
Same as others, pinaka ayaw ko yung naglilinis ng windshield.
Maraming salbaheng beggars, pag di mo binigyan dudumihan windows mo, or some other bad stuff.
Lastly, FYI the street beggars (some with disabilities) around the Meralco Ave. / Julia Vargas / Lanuza area have a handler. Saw them counting their collected money in Yoohoo before. Not sure if it's a charitable kind of handler or just a syndicate, just want you guys to know.Last edited by kotiko; January 12th, 2011 at 02:36 PM.

if kids yung magbbeg for money, i just honk my horn and move the car or knock back.
if mga senior citizens na yung magbbeg and sadyang may problema like sa isang eye or whatever, i sometimes give food yung mga natitirang fries or whatever .. minsan, coins din. 2 pesos.
and bago pa makalapit yung mga nagpupunas ng windshield, i rev my car and honk my horn ng tuloy tuloy. :hysterical: yabang ba ? hahaha. kulit kasi nila eh.

January 12th, 2011 10:41 PM #48One time may binigyan ako kasi akala ko pilay talaga.

i dont wanna give them anything. it's the government's[DSWD] job to help them. i want to help them but i refuse to do so. maging dependent sila sa pagbbeg... if i really have to give them - il prefer to give them food rather than money para sigurado ako makakatulong sa kanila. coz if money baka naman bibili lng ng yosi or worse drugs
Somewhat expected from a rushed car from a first time carmaker
