There's a "humane" way to kill kasi a snake, hindi dapat pinupukpok sa ulo ng maraming beses...ehehehe

last saturday lang may ganyan din sa amin...buti nandun ang brother ko to kill the snake (wala kasi ako sa house)
yikes! a snake in the house...
well, usually snakes don't attack humans. and they are more scared of the us than we are of them. yun ang sabi ng discovery. Also, I read that snakes usually roam around where their pray is present. Siguro madami daga sa bahay nyo. And I thought the only paternal link that snakes have to their offspring is only at the time of birth. afterwards, kanya-kanya na ata. so i would'nt put too much thought that the "mother" would still lurk around the house... anyway, its what discovery and nat geo says
pero wawa naman yun snake hehehe. Its just trying to survive. I think yun potrayal ni hudas as a snake talagang may effect sa atin lahat hehe. ako rin, pag nakakakita ako ng snake it scares the freak out of me. And the fact na, ang default perception ko sa snake is poisonous agad... pero di pala(thanks nat geo) napapanood ko, usually they capture the snake by covering it with a blanket, tapos tinatapon na nila sa labas. I wish I'd have the courage to do this. hehehe. baka mauna pa ako tumakbo haha

AFAIK, here in the Philippines the only poisonous snake is the Cobra & Sea Snake.
Most of the time puro mga "house" or mouse-eating snakes lang ang nakikita natin.
kami may snake dito sa bahay....we won't get rid of it because my wife likes having it around :naughty2:
I've killed one of those inside our house years ago and put in a jar with alcohol. It's probably still there up to now. I'm not sure what it is. But, we never did find Mama although we've also killed a red/white/blue snake on a banana plant and a long green rice snake which took a nap in one of our maid's galoshes.
I don't know. But the rice snake my mom encountered was quite agressive even though there was plenty of room to run away. It behaved almost like a cobra with no hood. My mom didn't flinch. One swipe with her machete and game over. We just had to wait for the head and body to stop twitching.
I've read something about this and I think fake yun or invalid. Snakes dont have good eyesight, and are deaf ata which is why they rely on their sense of taste - this is the reason why labas pasok yun dila nila. They "taste the air" - they pick up on the smell of their pray thru tasting the air. other snakes have heat sensing glands, kaya pansinin mo may aditional air ducts sila sa ulo yun ibang snakes.
sabi sa disco/nat geo, the reason why the snake dances is because they follow the motion of the flute(plus the swinging of the head). anticipating its next strike since they think its a predator.
di kaya Tom and Jerry yun? hehehe
one funny tv show I saw about snakes was with MTV Wild Boyz haha! si Steve O... he dressed up as a giant rat and he wrestled with a full grown anaconda haha! sinakal sya at kinagat ng anaconda. funniest thing I ever saw.
I think madami talaga snakes sa may grass lands/palayan/plantation. Kase sa palayan madami daga, they feed on the palay. and snakes in turn feed on the rats.
