We've experienced that too, it was night, tapos may kumalabog sa pinto namin sa kitchen, yun pala yung pusa namin pinapatay na yung ahas, Yun, napatay naman niya.

i have attached pictures of the snake. does anyone know what kind of snake is this? is it poisonous? is this just a baby snake or already an adult snake? if it is just a baby snake, is it possible that the mother is within the fences of our house?

the snake is around 10-12" long. it is colored black on its top side and grayish white on the bottom side. its mouth can open up to around 120degrees.
I've killed one of those inside our house years ago and put in a jar with alcohol. It's probably still there up to now. I'm not sure what it is. But, we never did find Mama although we've also killed a red/white/blue snake on a banana plant and a long green rice snake which took a nap in one of our maid's galoshes.

I don't know. But the rice snake my mom encountered was quite agressive even though there was plenty of room to run away. It behaved almost like a cobra with no hood. My mom didn't flinch. One swipe with her machete and game over. We just had to wait for the head and body to stop twitching.

I've read something about this and I think fake yun or invalid. Snakes dont have good eyesight, and are deaf ata which is why they rely on their sense of taste - this is the reason why labas pasok yun dila nila. They "taste the air" - they pick up on the smell of their pray thru tasting the air. other snakes have heat sensing glands, kaya pansinin mo may aditional air ducts sila sa ulo yun ibang snakes.

sabi sa disco/nat geo, the reason why the snake dances is because they follow the motion of the flute(plus the swinging of the head). anticipating its next strike since they think its a predator.

di kaya Tom and Jerry yun? hehehe

one funny tv show I saw about snakes was with MTV Wild Boyz haha! si Steve O... he dressed up as a giant rat and he wrestled with a full grown anaconda haha! sinakal sya at kinagat ng anaconda. funniest thing I ever saw.

I think madami talaga snakes sa may grass lands/palayan/plantation. Kase sa palayan madami daga, they feed on the palay. and snakes in turn feed on the rats.
